0bama could drill here and drill now until the price of oil dropped and Russia would too.

Not likely 0bama would use the great American oil weapon.

I wonder if this is the beginning of a Red Storm Rising?A refinery fire was the reason for the fictional Soviet Attack on NATO from Tom Clancy’s book of the same name.

I guess well have to wait till the damage reports come out.

Russia’s main export is ENERGY.

The OBVIOUS easy US tactic —even for a risk-averse muzzie homo— would be to FRACK LIKE FRACKING CRAZY.

Will we?

Nope.

The fire was triggered by an offensive YouTube video.

The future does not belong to those who slander petroleum.

That article is wrong. According to Reuters, the refinery only processes around 170,000 barrels per day. Not a small amount by any means, but not extremely large. Most west European nations have multiple refineries of that size.

The largest European refinery caught on fire today. The refinery happens to be in Russia.

I wonder if that refinery was also called the Reichstag refinery?

How does this translate into barrels/day?

http://www.tatneft.ru/proizvodstvo/pererabotka-i-realizatsiya/neftepererabativayushchee-proizvodstvo/?lang=ru

It’s the refineries own web page. Google seems to do a good job translating...:^)

I call BS on the largest refinery claim.

Russian energy giant launches refinery

Daily throughput capacity is approximately 140,000 barrels of crude oil.
