MSNBC ATTACKS GREG ABBOTT: ‘IT’S HARD TO TURN A GUY IN A WHEELCHAIR INTO A VILLAIN’
Breitbart ^ | 5 Mar 2014 | Brandon Darby

In a shocking display of cruelty, MSNBC’s Zachary Roth attacked Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott in an article under the headline: "No One Pushes Greg Abbott Around." Abbott, who is in a wheelchair, is the Republican gubernatorial candidate running against Wendy Davis. MSNBC’s Roth goes on to write, “Put simpler: It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain—no matter his record.” This incident is not the first time left-of-center advocates for Wendy Davis have crossed lines in using Abbott's disability. The pro-Wendy Davis group Battleground Texas made headlines when a leader from the group was caught on tape in an undercover James O'Keefe video saying, "I'm wondering how this is going to work out, since he's in a wheelchair and most of the slogans are 'Stand with Wendy.'" Another snippet of the video revealed a Wendy Davis supporter at an event at an Austin, Texas Democrats club saying, "He's not good looking, he doesn't have a personality, and he's in a wheelchair." The crowd laugh and applauded.

Exactly right. He should explain in explicit and graphic terms the late term procedure advocated by Wendy. How viable babies are dismembered during the process and how it’s been proven that they feel pain. Let the world know exactly what she was filibustering.

“The primary last night had a horrible turnout (dems blame the weather) - with about 1,300,000 voting Republican and less than 500,000 voting dem.”

***

I don’t know about Texas, but where I live, if the Dem voters don’t have door-to-door transportation, they won’t vote.

Wendy Davis has about as much chance of beating Greg Abbott for the Texas Governor slot...as I have to dine on swiss cheese on the moon!!! After last night primary numbers surfaced, Abbott wiped her out. Texas is not only staying Red....it is staying “Ruby Red” across the board, come November, 2014!!!

In fact, the entire Democrat Primary performance was both pathetic & sad with an absolutely lousy turnout (3.1%) and most Hispanics Democrats voting aginst Wendy Davis!!! Ya think the Texas Dems would want to live in the world of reality.....Obama has screwed them.....while Perry & the Pubbies have made Texas a job producing machine. Abbott will best Davis by a massive 1.500,000 million vote margin on Election Day in November!!!

If I’m Abbott or his supporters I would reply:

“Would you rather have a governor with a physical handicap or one with a mental handicap?”

When the libs take the bait, argue that Davis’ positions on the issues are a handicap with free-thinking Texans while Abbott has proven his mesh in several statewide elections.

Good point. Hope Abbott figures out that he has multiple opponents while she only has 1.

Well this was a primary so it had very little turnout. Texas also required an ID to vote so the dems are saving their cheating/lying for november

I'm trying to find the Texas primary gloat thread. The one where Cronyn was wiped out by a tea party challenger.

Even worse...Cornyn was endorsed today by Cruz and got $2500 from his campaign fund.

You didn't expect him to endorse the Democrat, did you?

If the objective is to keep the seats we have, and to build upon that base, today was a good start. If that is not the objective....................boom.

Gosh, and I thought Democrats were all about diversity, and not hurting peoples feelings!

(Hey Chuck, stand up! Let the people see you! Oh no, God love you Chuck!)

Its almost like they fear Mr. Abbott!

(We have nothing to fear but fear itself! And, of course, of rolling down the capitol steps unattended in this wheelchair....)

Maybe Mr. Abbott can lodge a diversity complaint with the Texas Attorney General against Wendykins and her campaign staff of lost boys and force them all to take sensitivity training!

According to Wikipedia:

Abbott became a paraplegic when an oak tree fell on him while he was running following a storm in 1984. He had two steel rods implanted in his spine, underwent extensive rehabilitation at TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, and has used a wheelchair ever since. He sued the homeowner and won an insurance settlement worth more than $10 million.

Is this for real? Sued someone for what a tree did to him?
