"The Larry Kudlow Report" will end its run on CNBC later this month, the network said on Friday, with host Larry Kudlow staying on as a senior contributor.
"Larry expressed his love of the network and personal pride in what had been accomplished on his program over the years but now wanted to slow down just a bit," the network's president, Mark Hoffman, told staff in a memo on Friday. "As an interviewer, he is unfailingly polite and energetic, skillfully grilling guests but always ending a segment graciously.
"Larry has always brought great enthusiasm to every program and appearance," Hoffman said.
The CNBC executive did not say what would replace Kudlow's program only that the network was "working on plans" for the 7 p.m. Eastern time slot.
Kudlow, 66, will contribute to the "Business Day" program on CNBC, Hoffman said.

Larry’s a protege of Art Laffer, a reliable supply sider, Reagan booster, strong dollar, permabull but a big government proponent. I’ll miss his CNBC 7pm show.

Rick Santelli, Michelle Caruso-Cabrera and Joe Kernan are the only semi-conservative voices remaining at CNBC.

Kudlow’s best work is on the John Batchelor radio program - the most underrated on the air.

Larry Kudlow is the only network news show I tape and watch every day. Even handed and principled. A rare talent that I will greatly miss.
To: JohnG45
I wouldn't say he's in favor of illegal immigration but he is rinoish on that subject kinda like Cruz, Paul and most of the other "conservatives" running for the top job in 2016. Kudlow is also a big business/big government booster. I mainly like him for his supply side economic views on how to get US back where we belong economically.

I can't say I'll miss him on the air because I never watched CNBC anyway. LOL.
Having said that, I do listen to his radio show whenever I'm on the road on Saturday mornings. I don't agree with all of his politics but I do think he's a man of principle and I have a lot of respect for him and his insights.
He also has a remarkable personal story and has been pretty frank about his cocaine problem back in the 1980s and his recovery and religious conversion.

Completely agree regarding Batchelor’s show. For the interview heavy style of show, it is the best. Mostly conservative leaning - V.D. Hansen types. He must have a monopoly on everyone who is affiliated with the Hoover Institute - the largest collection of conservative nogins in the U.S. Lot’s of interviews with authors of history so the long perspective is maintained.
