Nothing wrong with her voice at all.

People also complain about Coulter’s voice.

Mostly those that disagree (like to pick nits) with both of those ladies, but don’t have any counter to their excellent ability to communicate through the spoken word.

That being said, I can hardly listen to Greta Van NeoCon or Susan Estrich because their voices “ear”itate me...

...she ought to be speaking better

Yeah, what were they thinking giving her the BEST position on the speaker roster with that lady like woman's voice.

They should have picked Dr. Carson or Alan West or maybe even that gecko with that cool accent, they don't have those girly voices...

Enough with " 'I love her message BUT ouch' she sounds just like a woman!"

Hasn't done a bit of harm to her, she is BY FAR the most effective politician on the scene today.

I'm sure there is a transcript out there somewhere of her speech, you should read it.

My favorite T. Geisel book is "If I Ran The Zoo"

Windy, it gets even better when one realizes that she said this over five years ago in the 2008 campaign. When she deadpanned for the camera after saying it, she sealed it as a classic.

Even the young crowd of students got it.

I hope all the libs choke on it.

I too thought Sarah delivery was perfect. Her voice not only delivered her sarcastic humor to a ingenious level, she twisted it like a knife in the backs of her targets. I would love to see her smack down one of the DemonRAT untouchables in a debate.

Thanks for posting.

Senator Ted Cruz and Governor Sarah Palin as the bookends to this year's CPAC... pretty good!

Anybody know what she charged for making this speech? Sometimes I think about bringing her out to my hometown, but I don’t know if we could afford her.

Loved this line!

“The only thing rising in his la la land is the Russian empire...”

I agree. I noticed that her delivery had more force at just the right moments and she hesitated at just the right times before delivering the punch. She was always great but last night was perfect!

ditto!............I found that I felt like watching Sarah’s entire speech but none of the others, even Cruz, who is my main man these days!

Sarah just says all the things I want to hear said. She is fearless.

I had to catch myself after I posted. I misremembered her saying it last year, but it was much further back.

And to think - libs have convinced themselves that she's stupid. The cognitive dissonance has got to be killing them.

We will be bashed for even suggesting she needs to work on her speeches, but I agree.

And she HAS to STOP with the stupid “Mama Grizzly” crap...give it a rest!! It was funny the first time, but has long outlived its cleverness.

Honestly, as a woman I am just amazed that any woman could comment on her voice.......

I feel I can comment on this particularly because I'm a woman. I'll let the comment about not hearing her message go---if I didn't hear the message I wouldn't bother. The substance of her message is not the problem. She'll have to win over not only conservative voters, but the majority of the voting public no matter which party, and the press alone has done a pretty good job of marginalizing her as it is. Obviously this all will be moot if she doesn't run, and I'm not sure she will.

I suppose it depends if you prefer humor in you political speeches to a more serious, step by step, logical, putting out of the policy picture.

But Sarah is not a candidate yet, and she may not stand at all. If she becomes a candidate you will see some of the more basic nuts and bolts type speeches. This was a speech to an audience that would like the humor and enjoy it.

Different venue, different speech.

The average person needs to have political issues explained emotional, everyday terms, in an engaging and entertaining manor. The Democrats understand “politics is show business” rule better than anyone else in US politics, and *that's* why they attack her like their lives depend on it.

If she becomes a candidate the individual contribution floodgate will open, and the Dems could be blown out of the water. Whatever the media thinks they can do will be tried in the primary season, if they fail to stop her there, the Dems are Toast.

If a politician is not entertaining when they give a speech the public, media, almost everyone in fact do not pay any attention. The oxygen in the room just leaves in seconds.

You or I might listen to the ideas of a boring public speaker, but for modern politics in the TV age the public will not.

Yes, it will all be moot if she chooses not to run.
However, as a woman, you are doing her no favors by deriding her voice, it smacks of women treating other women poorly.

I too am a woman, so I am quite attuned to this unfortunate habit women have, I honestly will never understand it.

Thanks Emily, all excellent points. I have no criticism about what she says. She has always been able to express her thoughts quite clearly and succinctly and, as brilliantly shown at CPAC, humorously. My criticism was strictly about the quality of her voice.
