CT Cop to Gun Owning Patriot: “I Cannot Wait to Get the Order to Kick Your Door In”

Last weekend, I reported on Connecticut John Cinque's 2013 warning to lawmakers that he would not comply with their attempts to force the citizens of Connecticut to register their semi-automatic weapons and high capacity magazines. Since that time, the video, though a year old, has gone viral. However, in a recent video between Mr. Cinque and Connecticut gubernatorial candidate Joe Viconti, Cinque reveals that a Branford, Connecticut police officer told him, "I Cannot Wait to Get the Order to Kick Your Door In."

"Perhaps you and he should remember we are a nation with a govt"

Palin is correct. And the police are part of the government.

Open letter to CT Law Enforcement from Mike Vanderboegh:

“An Open Letter to the Men and Women of the Connecticut State Police: You are NOT the enemy” (UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO BE.)

Now, if you read the letter it is more accurate describing the situation than the title suggests.

Excellent question! Cinque has made a public statement that he would not comply with the law. But does anyone know for sure that he won’t as a FACTUAL matter?

“Take time if you will, to read my post #40. It’s actually more helpful than what a lot of posters are suggesting.”

Can’t argue with what you are saying, but it does not directly address the issue of the “legality” of cops making overt threats to citizens. You and I don’t agree here. The cop crossed the line when he opened his yap, and his department should publicly reprimand him, even better, give him some time off w/o pay. He’s wantonly inflaming a serious situation and he should not be allowed to get away with it. What you have here is a cop with size 44 coveralls and a size 4 hat. My experience is that there are a lot of them employed across the country today. They are our servants and they need to act like it!

Making a threat is not nothing.
A citizen saying the same to the cop would have been spitting out turf and pebbles, and charged with making threats.

Do you agree that the Connecticut legislature has passed an unconstitutional law?

I addressed the issue by different means. I suggested that he go on the offensive. He needn't wait for a response from the Officer's Department. My suggestion is that Cinque get a lawyer, file an internal affairs complaint (thus determining if he is in violation of Department policy), and file a lawsuit. In this way, he is confronting the issue of the "legality" of a cop who appears to be making an overt threat to a citizen. But now, to add to that, he and/or his lawyer should be researching to determine if in fact the officer is in violation of a specific Federal or State criminal statute. If it can be determined that there is such a violation, then of course, Cinque should request a criminal prosecution.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao and many other enlightened ones also had laws for gun confiscation. Would you have followed them?

Do you agree that law enforcement officers have a duty to disobey orders to enforce unconstitutional laws?

If you were Hitler, Stalin or Mao would you have issued orders for the confiscations of guns?
