A suicide bomber driving a minibus packed with explosives killed at least 45 people and wounded 157 on Sunday in the southern Iraqi city of Hilla. The attacker approached a main checkpoint at a northern entrance to the largely Shi'ite Muslim city and detonated the minibus. At least 50 cars were set ablaze with passengers trapped inside. Sunni Islamist insurgents linked to al Qaeda have been regaining ground in Iraq over the past year.

Oh, driving a minibus. Misread that first as riding in a minibus. No wonder. Vehicle packed with explosives could affect that number. God A’Mighty nonetheless.

A suicide bomb in a vehicle may be much more powerful than one that must be carried by an airplane. It can weigh hundreds to thousands of pounds. The vehicle will be packed with bolts, screws, and nails which greatly multiply the damage. I saw a video of a garbage truck bomb. Four jeeps were passing it when it detonated. The traffic control camera was at least a quarter of a mile away. The shockwave knocked down people who appeared to be half a mile away. It rocked the camera, which was quite distant. It was obvious that the people knocked down were also shredded.
Incidentally, I recently read that 47% of the refugees admitted to this country under Obama spoke Arabic as their native language. Also, the rules have been changed to allow “minor” terrorists to immigrate here.

Bet the Iraqis feel better about the USA withdrawl everyday. Afganistan’s Pres. Karzai will have to leave as the Taliban take center stage.
Bush’s administration thought the Iraqi’s would love us. That experiment went horribly wrong. There is no reasoning or respect with those nuts!
As if an airliner wasn’t enough this week. Horrible creatures.
Did anybody really think that it was possible to bring civilization and democracy to a bunch of screaming bearded savages?
More recently I have come to believe that the illegal immigration situation we have is just a smoke screen for allowing and facilitating terrorists to enter the country underneath the radar. Agitation by detonation.
If you remember the Willie Horton incident that ended Dukakis’ career, Democrats (liberals) do incredibly non-intuitive things not because they want bad things to happen, but because they truly have a rose-tinted view of the fantasy world in which they live. (Horton was a murder serving life and Dukakis had a program granting weekend furloughs to men serving life. Horton would leave the prison on Friday night, commit murders Saturday and Sunday and return to prison Sunday nights.)
