On Wednesday, we found out the Big Reveal on whether or not Lois Lerner would be emptying the bag for Darrell Issa. Nope. So many perfectly good conspiracy theories flushed down the tubes after I went through two pots of coffee dreaming them up. It looked like a big, fat nothingburger and another dead end. But now, seemingly out of nowhere, the IRS seems to have had a change of heart.
The powerful House Ways and Means Committee will get everything from disgraced former IRS official Lois Lerner’s email account since a few weeks before Barack Obama became president.
And Republican committee members are hoping they’ll find a smoking gun tying the Obama administration to the years-long scheme to play political favorites with nonprofit groups’ tax-exemption applications.
After eight months of back-and-forth stonewalling, the IRS has agreed to turn over the complete contents of Lerner’s email account, along with other documents that two congressional committees have been demanding.
Well… that’s just great, I suppose. But there’s a skeptical corner of my dark little heart which immediately begins raising some red flags. I suppose it’s something along the lines of what one unnamed staffer told the Daily Mail.
‘If there’s not a Holy Grail email in this round of documents,’ a senior staffer to a Ways and Means committee member told MailOnline, ‘then we’re not going to find it.’
‘Whether that’s because Lerner covered her tracks or because the IRS is shredding documents, we’re probably never going to know.’
They’ve had eight months to sit on all of this data and come up with a battle plan, circle the wagons and get ready for this. In the bad old days, one assumes they would just have a vodka soaked party around the burn barrel and any damning documents could literally go up in smoke. But is it really that much harder in the digital era? I ask this because I honestly don’t know.
YEAH BUT.....youre forgetting one thing.... Issa has emails from other people sent back and forth. He will bring her before the committee and say, Did you ever send an email to so and so discussing such and suck. Learner, NO I didnt.” This committee has been provided a copy of an email you wrote dated.... and that is how perjury happens.
Here is the deal, Issa is not going to have gone this far to be made to look like an idiot. He will pull the trigger on her.
So what’s Lerner’s secret/anonymous work email address?
Lerner: “What’s email?”
If Lerner pleads the fifth and there is nothing in the emails then either Lerner perjured herself or there really is something incriminating somewhere else.
Heard John McCain today (from an interview on Michael Medved last week) calling out Putin for the Stalinist tactic of lying to your face with no concern of being called out on it (regarding the troops in the Ukraine).
It’d be nice to see a former presidential contender call out his victorious opponent for using the exact same damn tactic.
Jarrett is the “air gap.” All orders from the head of the Party are issued orally to her, and then she issues the orders orally to the flunkies, leaving no trail.

Issa has nver pulled the trigger on anybody. Issa has let this drag on for nearly a year without directly engaging the obama admin.
Nothing will happen on this because the GOP leadership was never interested in vigorously engaging the obama admin over the IRS assaults. As it gets closer to the election they will get even more timid. The Dems know that and that is why they are getting more aggressive. Boehner will fold like always because, dontcha know, we have to win elections!

I will be emailing myself to create an historical diary of President Obama’s (Peace be upon Him) administration.
As a former Republican Goldwater Girl, I’m frankly shocked that Congressman Darrell Issa reached out to me today and demanded that I heavily scrutinize non-profit applications of groups that have a conservative agenda.
Despite my misgivings, and the desire for hope and change, I will do my best to comply with Congressman Issa’s demands in the interest of bipartisanship, even if it means hiding my actions from my superiors at the IRS.

P.S. Seeing President Obama sworn in today just gave me that Chris Matthews’ tingling feeling. If only Reggie Love weren’t in the picture, maybe I’d have a transgendered chance.

Oh, please. It’s more like eight months of frantic scrubbing.
Eight months of cocktail parties for Boehner. Leadership wasn’t interested resulting in no engaged game plan. Nothing really matters after that. Nothing will happen.
I wonder if they will be printed and hand delivered by the same staffer that printed & hand delivered his birth certificate?
The IRS needs to be redacted.
Those TEA Parties that have been attacked by the Obama thugs should submit all their forms in the same redacted format as these IRS papers have been. What’s fair for the goose should be even more fair for the gander since these crooks are supposed to work for US.
Pages like the birth certificate? They’ve had time to fix what they want to appear real.
Anything incriminating has been digitally shredded using a DOD compliant data erasure protocol. Bet on it...
