About 750 detainees housed at the Northwest Detention Center in Washington state refused to eat Saturday in an attempt to halt deportations and demand better conditions.

Community to Community Development, an immigrant activist group, helped lead protests outside of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Tacoma where the detainees are being housed. They said the strike began Friday, and that detainees are demanding better food, treatment and pay for work they do at the center.

The activist group plans to protest until Tuesday.

"People showing solidarity right now at Tacoma detention center!" group organizer of Latino Advocacy, Maru Mora, posted Saturday on Facebook.

ICE spokesman Andrew Munoz told NBC News that the agency "fully respects the rights of all people to express their opinion without interference."

"While we continue to work with Congress to enact commonsense immigration reform, ICE remains committed to sensible, effective immigration enforcement that focuses on its priorities," Munoz added.

They are probably living better in the ICE facility than they ever thought about living in Mexico...

They don't want to eat...no problem...let them starve..

Pretty simple solution: Don’t detain, deport.

We had a Mexican border incursion by the Mexican military again just the other day but we’re so distracted with Russia than nobody noticed.

Perhaps the deportation process should be accelerated. It’s only right.

• The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.” How’s that for racial and ethnic profiling?

• If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not welcome.

• Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment. Illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by 10 years’ imprisonment.

• Law enforcement officials at all levels — by national mandate — must cooperate to enforce immigration laws, including illegal alien arrests and deportations.

• A National Population Registry tracks and verifies the identity of every member of the population, who must carry a citizens’ identity card. Visitors who do not possess proper documents and identification are subject to arrest as illegal aliens.

Bingo. You are correct sir. I worked 25 years in California prisons. We had tons of illegal aliens in prison. The majority, if not all of them, had it better in a California prison, than on the streets in Mexico. What a country.

Well, OJ is a different story, but I had inmates tell me to my face, that they violated parole on purpose, to get off the drugs, get some medical care and get some good food. I know it sucks, but that is reality.

If these fools don’t eat, that would solve the problem of deporting them!

Taxpayers demand to know whether so-called "latino advocacy" groups are paid agents of a foreign government, and whether they are being subsidized as pressure groups w/ hidden agendas to foment hostility against the US government and to undermine US national security.

Community to Community Development, the immigrant activist group leading protests----may have falsified official documents in order to hide its ties to foreign governnments.

LEGAL REFERENCE “Falsifying Government Documents” involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deception.......can also involve forgery and/or passing copies of false documents. Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as extortion, government fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, Third World conspiracies, financing terrorism......and so on.

Types of documents commonly falsified may include:
◾Tax returns and income statements
◾Personal checks
◾Bank account records
◾Business record keeping books
◾Immigration documents (such as visas, passports, etc.)
◾Identification cards and birth certificates

Many different types of acts can be considered as falsifying a document, including:
◾Altering or misrepresenting factual information such as prices or monetary amounts
◾Stating false information when requested to provide truthful statements
◾Forging a signature
◾Using official letterheads without authorization
◾Concealing assets or property WRT obtaining federal/state grants))
◾Knowingly using or distributing a fake document

A person can only be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years. Also, if government documents or authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. ..... legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.
