Only because the non-Czarists were long since removed.

If the Ukraniane ships are to escape, they must blow the obstruction.

Or they should scuttle their own ships, preferably enlarging the blockage and escape by dingy.

escape? escape where? I can imagine the Istanbul port captain
trying to figure out mooring for a dozen leaking soviet era rustbuckets. Maybe some ship broker can get a few hryvnas
per ton as scrap for all their vessels.

The EU might donate a few Boston Whalers to replace them.

it won't affect Romania or Bulgaria. Russia is not expansionist -- it views Ukraine as the birthplace of it's civilisation, just as the Serbs viewed kosovo as their country's birthplace

Turkey is different -- it's been Russia's enemy since 1453 and the fall of constantinople -- Russia see's itself as conquering that city.

Romania and Bulgaria are fellow Orthodox and not so close as Ukrainians (who are heavily related to Muscowites)
