Leave it to the sleazy down-home Democrats of the Midwest to steal more than $16 Million from various charities, including one for those suffering from AIDS. Also not so surprising, several of the scammers have ties to President Barack Obama, including one who happens to be related to President Obama’s friend and former pastor Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright.
The U.S. attorney’s office in Springfield has been busy the past few years investigating a variety of fraud schemes involving state grants. Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty.
Two of them have ties to President Barack Obama. One is the daughter of his controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another was chief of staff to Obama’s longtime friend Eric E. Whitaker when Whitaker was Illinois’ public health chief.

Look, be fair, we can’t judge the criminal behavior of a criminal organization by the criminal actions of a few of its members.

The daughter of a man who started a Hartford foundation to help students go to college may have embezzled $600,000, according to the state attorney general.
Muriel Hurley, daughter of Doc Hurley, has been the subject of an investigation since December.
That's when Attorney General George Jepsen said the annual Doc Hurley Basketball Tournament was canceled because the fund had run out of money.
"Muriel Hurley systematically looted the foundation," Jepsen told Eyewitness News. "We have identified $200,000 that she used for personal use things like hair salons, doggie daycare, Victoria's Secret."
Jepsen also said there was no longer a board of directors or any meetings related to the foundation. He said that no one was watching Muriel Hurley.

I’m (pleasantly) surprised these crimes are even prosecuted anymore. Newark, NJ’s mayor Sharpe James was sent to prison after he left office, while the government could have put him away decades earlier; the “soft bigotry of lowered expectations” prevented a lot of prosecutions of this type of crime. Still rampant in our ghettoes, but at least we’re seeing some exposure of it.

Actually, I am a bit bemused that someone in the entirely corrupt Department of Justice DARED to investigate any one in the Chicago power structure.
But, if you parse the article, the fact that the Illinois States Attorney was the one driving this indictment, rather than the Feds, is explained.
That the Ministry of Truth has chosen to ignore this is only standard procedure, and would again justify a Final Solution to The Democrat Problem.

The entire purpose of government grants is that some of the money finds its way into the pocket of the man in charge of granting.

It seems that way sometimes, and with certain types of crime like entitlement fraud, but trust me...TRASH COMES IN EVERY COLOR, INCLUDING WHITE. (Yes I'm white, for the record.)
I think most of these “charities” are just ATM’s for the people who run them. It’s almost expected. When Rev Henry Lyons used his office as head of a Baptist denomination to get rich, people responded with “It wasn’t our money he used”.
The very tip of a huge iceberg. We could arrest 20 per day and still be falling behind.
