Sotomayor: 'I'm Very Optimistic About The Power of Minorities
Truth Revolt ^ | 3/11/2014 | staff

On Monday, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor stated that she believed that women and minorities had to crash the halls of power in order to “change the dialogue in this country.” She said that “money” was the obstacle to women and minorities having a say in government, adding, “we’re going to have to work the political system at the highest level.”

Sotomayor was speaking at the University of Washington, pushing her book, My Beloved Life. A student questioned if she was optimistic about the future of the country. She stated, “I’m very optimistic about the power of minorities to change the dialogue in this country.”

Women and minorities lack power in government?
Really?

Just tell me what groups are the main beneficiaries of government largess and at the expense of what other group??

Being “Optimistic about the Future of America” is vastly different that being

“Optimistic about the future of minorities in America”

VASTLY different, and unworthy of a Supreme Court Justice who is supposed to be there for ALL Americans.

Women and minorities (the victim/entitlement crowd) have been dictating government policy for some time now.

Hoping she means to change it to be more in line with our founding and constitutional principles, ie, freedom and equal opportunity for all

I inadvertently left out the best part. Sotomayor also characterized the Supreme Court as “the most moral institution” in government.

She talks of "changing the dialogue" but telegraphs what she is really referring to when she references money.

More government cheese for women and minorities is the goal here.

Total Population - (Women + Minorities) = White boys.

Not a smidgen of racism.

Problem is......each minority has their own specific agenda and “right”. Therefore, the majority is always in the position of changing the rules for each little chirping group with ridiculously selfish needs. There is nothing left for the majority.

What the hell is she talking about?

From the other day: "70% Of U.S. Spending Is Writing Checks To Individuals". A good portion of those checks to "minorities".

Buried deep in a section of President Obama's budget, released this week, is an eye-opening fact: This year, 70% of all the money the federal government spends will be in the form of direct payments to individuals, an all-time high.

In effect, the government has become primarily a massive money-transfer machine, taking $2.6 trillion from some and handing it back out to others. These government transfers now account for 15% of GDP, another all-time high. In 1991, direct payments accounted for less than half the budget and 10% of GDP."

Women and minorities are a ‘favored class’ in government, lending, education, employment, etc... and have been for decades!
