The headquarters of social media giant Facebook was evacuated Tuesday evening, but police would not say what forced the clearing of the company's campus.
The company, founded in 2004, has 6,337 employees as of December 2013, according to the company's website. Thousands of those workers report to the company's main campus at 1601 Willow Avenue, an address that was rechristened as "1 Hacker Way" after the company took over the old Sun Microsystems campus.

Must be "evidence". Probably everyone who uses it can be charged with some infraction, violation, or crime by now.
Loose lips and all that...

Some crazy data points today. SF tech complex set ablaze, once is happenstance, twice coincidence, thrice enemy action.

**UPDATE** MENLO PARK (KRON) KRON 4′s Scott Rates is on the scene in Menlo Park where there is heavy police presence surrounding the Facebook campus. At around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Menlo Park police were called to the campus on 1 Hacker Way to investigate a tip from the San Francisco Police Department about a threat. The Menlo Park police later determined that it was not a credible threat, officials said. The specifics surrounding the threat were not disclosed. Police cordoned off the main entrance of the campus with yellow tape while a K-9 unit searched the parking lot. Officers were randomly inspecting vehicles as they exited the campus.

Facebook shares are right around $70 tonight. The IPO was at $40, and while it dipped for a period of time, it came roaring back. $70 is very close to its all-time high. I bought a few months ago and am up 60%.
