Homicide investigators are gathering evidence after a father shoots and kills a teenage boy he found in his daughter's bedroom.

A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff's office said Deputy constables from pct 4 responded to a 911 call around 2:20 a.m. about a shooting in the Bridgestone Lake Subdivision in Northwest Harris County.

He was 17. She was 16. She invited him in. And he DESERVES to be dead in your opinion?

It would be one thing if the guy was 25. He was 17. She was 16. She invited him in. To me, his death is not something to be overjoyed about.

This is not so cut and dry. Don’t think deadly force was appropriate in this case. Dad should have stood far enough away from the boy. And really, what dad couldn’t figure out the boy was invited in by his daughter if he was hiding under the bad?

Not first degree murder, but at least voluntary manslaughter.

Glad you’re so overjoyed at the fact that a 17 year old kid got shot and killed because he was screwing his girlfriend. I can’t really blame the father, but I wouldn’t exactly be jumping for joy.

Your point is a good one. These are teenage kids. They do some inexplicably stupid stuff now and then. I know I did my fair share and learned and lived. I don't think I can fault the father based on the story given. The daughter may be in some trouble. This is a tragedy for all involved but I'm not sure if anyone goes to jail for it.

Certainly the teenage boy should have been exceedingly polite, respectful, conciliatory, apologetic and obedient to the father. He may have immediately suspected his daughter of lying about knowing who he was or why he was there. His reaction to her denial of knowing him may have ultimately been his undoing when the father went into protection beast mode.

A rapist would not be hiding under a bed.

RIP. Bad show, pop. You kick his ass, you don’t kill him (even if you feel like it).

I'm right with you on that. This is a tragic story...sad for all involved.

Now... the daughter IS probably guilty of some law relating to causing the death of another.

Morally, yes. Legally? I'm not so sure.

It sounds like the father had the perp at gunpoint and had told him not to move. The father claims that he fired because the boy moved as if he was reaching for something. Although the lie certainly didn't help the boy at all, his inability to remain perfectly still while being held a gunpoint in a home in which he was not a welcomed guest by the owner, could in fact have directly resulted in his demise.

Never get a conviction...heat of the moment sort of thing....as far as the dad was concerned he was dealing with the rapist of his daughter!!!

The daughter denied knowing who the boy was...The 16 year old girl later admitted to investigators that she did know the boy and had let him into the home.

So this lying little trollop is is responsible for getting this kid killed. If she had admitted here wrong doing and interceded, the boy would probably still be alive.

I have the feeling she will feel little remorse over this. It seems to be the way of things with today's youth.

The girl in the news studio is DEFINITELY not guilty.

Yup.

Yessir, yessir, yessir, yessir, yessir, yessir...

...as one quickly removes oneself from the girl’s bed, bedroom, the house, and then the neighborhood, is the only way to go in that situation.

We don’t know the details to give us the perfect scenario, but jumping under the bed when the homeowner comes into a bedroom with a gun wouldn’t be so surprising, if you are trapped.

This should be fairly easy for the grand jury to figure out if a terrible mistake happened, or if dad took liberties to kill the boy.

If he murdered the boy, then I hope they get him.

Obviously the father was not a Muslim or he would have shot his daughter instead.

Ok, that one cracked me up!
