Yay!
Maybe the HOR can have another vote.....and still keep funding Obamacare.
Rush said on his show today that he was going to invoke this to avoid the Obamacare penalty. (Rush doesn't have health insurance; he pays out-of-pocket.)
It is a huge loophole, but unfortunately I don't think it's big enough for Rush.
Obamacare is more screwed up than a Malaysian airplane search.
I still blame all this crap today on the cowards that infect the supreme court.
They probably could make you subject to back-up withholding (on interest, dividends, IRA benefits, etc.) if you don't pay the Obamacare penalty.
Then they'd have some of your money to offset against the penalty.
I’m sure they’re looking for any excuse to go after him.
But... I’m sure he’s got some top gun lawyers as well.
In Oct/November National Right To life held the future of ObamaCare in it's hands.
Instead of letting it grind to a halt, NTRL threated Republicans that it (NTRL) would do everything in it's power to make sure they weren't reelected in 2010 if they didn't vote for the Stupak Amendment.
The Republicans caved, to a man, the amendment passed, the rest is history.
NTRL is one of the most evil organizations we have operating at the present time.
“””ObamaCare won’t work if you let the young and healthy choose not to buy insurance””””
“let” someone choose not to buy?
WOW
Single-payer here we come!
Some dodo bird who is a liberal thinks the most we would pay for single payer would be 20 dollars per person for every person in America. I would love to be that naïve in some ways.
Yup - that has been what all of this crappola has been about: collapsing the existing healthcare system in total and creating an atmosphere for government-run and controlled healthcare.
ObamaCare was DESIGNED to “fail” in order to hasten on the clamor of the disaffected for a ‘fix’ - which was to put the government in charge of the entire thing.
the problem started when the government said, “you can’t turn anyone away.” That was the dumbest decision ever. The minute that rule was implemented for hospitals, the rates went up up up.
I’ve said all along there will be no single payer.
Insurance companies spend big money on campaign donations and have one of the best squads of lobbyists in DC.
This is about crony capitalism/fascism, not socialism.
The magnitude of incompetency in both instances is breathtaking.
I used to be a far left liberal and I can attest that I was a little happier then. I was also dumb as a box of rocks.
He has guaranteed the issue in 2016 will be zerOcare. No one will be running on it.
I fail to see how this debacle implies the government can do better in single payer.
Yeah ...congratulations! You just won a meaningless PR tactical victory on abortion and enabled an epic practical strategic defeat on the entire US health care system.
Always choose substance over symbolism. Always.
I think there will be single payer.
The Insurance companies want to be the ones that manage it. Of course, in the end, they will all get eaten but one, but the fight is now who gets to be that one.
