Ignoring President Barack Obamaís veto threat, the House voted on Wednesday for a bill that would expedite congressional lawsuits against the chief executive for failure to enforce federal laws.

The vote was 233-181 in the Republican-led House as GOP lawmakers excoriated Obama for multiple changes to his 4-year-old health care law, steps heís taken to allow young immigrants to remain in the United States and the administrationís resistance to defend the federal law banning gay marriage.

After the nobamacare case...isn’t Gowdy being naive to expect the Supreme Court to rule as based on the Constitution?

That’s precisely Mark Levin’s point. Bringing such a case before the USSC in effect and in fact imbues that body with the power to...what...correct its’ own misdeeds? You’re exactly right.

Seems like it would be pretty hard for the dems to vote against this one. They all swear to protect and defend the Constitution. It’s unbelievable that we have gotten to the point where this kind of bill even has to be written.

You don’t “sue” the President when he violates the law. You IMPEACH him.

I think this whole congressional bill stuff is just a smoke screen. They should not need a bill in order to sue the President in court for not upholding the law.

I do not think this bill will ever see the light of day in the Senate, with Reid running the show.

I would say, yes he is. I will never again expect a ruling based on the Constitution from the Supreme Court unless said ruling benefits the Democrat Party. On November 4, 2008 the Constitutional Republic of the United States became a banana republic by the will of the voters.

Exactly. The fact they have to do this in the first place, is bad. It appears, from the vote, that a lot of rats opposed it. It just confirms what we have known for years, that they really ARE evil, scum sucking Rats, with a capital R.

I want to know why he has not filed articles. I appreciate he’s one of the better ones. But we have a remedy for Obama. Impeachent. I don’t want excuses about his blackness or upcoming elections. I want the constitution upheld.

I also don’t care if Bhoner tries burying it. Leaders lead. Without fear.

I also hear a lot of FReepers say : " the senate would never convict!"

So? What difference does that make? The houses' job is to write up the articles and vote to send it to the senate. The house isn't doing their job and that's why their approval numbers are even lower than Obama's

Yup.

Name one successful leader in history that ever let “maybe” be his guiding light. No one can. Because any leader that does is never successful and is not a leader to begin with.

This is the ultimate outcome of accepting the lesser evil mentality. All these lesser evils people accepted added up to today. And the majority would rather kick the can again as always in the hopes that we can make it to the election.

And then what? Elect more lesser evil ‘no matter what’, that will kick it again? Really?

I get a ton of sXit from people saying “Well whats YOUR plan? Simple Follow the damn Constitution and quit hiding alike a coward.

Unless cowardice isn’t the real issue. Which I now believe is the case. The real issue is they do not impeach because the GOP is not the opposition party at all. Just actors playing their role as the fall guys to ease the rest of us into accepting the hopelessness of our conservative beliefs.

Evidence points that way.

So raise your glass to GW Bush. He personally brought all of this down on his country. The people remembered when he said “mission accomplished” and then proceeded to pi$$ away our human treasure and our treasure treasure to the end of his second term. His “team” had no exit strategy, and no strategy to win outright.

So what? 0bama will have the impeachment against him for all of history, whether the senate votes to convict or not. And articles can be brought again and again for each of his impeachable offenses and the senate will be forced to deal with them. The shame that’ll be brought against each and every member that fails to convict will follow them for the rest of their days.

These leaders were elected to lead, not to compromise and whimper and make bullshit excuses.

I thought Gowdy was all-in with the amnesty stuff. Sitting in on the meetings, etc. Then, he seemed to change his mind. Which is it?

My gut just says “don’t trust him.” Not because I don’t WANT to — I do. But we’ve seen other TP folks turn on a dime.

That’s what makes this such a stressful election year. Even with TP “credentials”, WHO do we trust?!?!

Ignoring President Barack Obama’s veto threat, the House voted on Wednesday for a bill that would expedite congressional lawsuits against the chief executive for failure to enforce federal laws.

Bread and circus' for the masses. Congress already has the authority to deal with a President who's ignoring, flouting or breaking federal law. It's called IMPEACHMENT.

Problem is John Boehner lacks the BALLS to do his job, so he's hiding behind creating a "law" that he knows will never get signed by the CORRUPT CROOK sitting in the White House.

DO YOUR DAMN' JOB BOEHNER AND START IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS.

So what?
That is either needlessly defeatist or a deliberate cynical red herring.

If it is absolutely the right thing to do, it follows that it must be pursued repeatedly until the evil is removed. That's an ethical imperative!

How many times was Al Capone indicted and prosecuted until he was permanently retired?
That the supporters and enablers of the evil are permanently stained in the official record of the Republic is simply an added bonus.
They will forever be unable to explain away their ignorance, indifference or willing complicity.

Do you have your buzz words ready/ Haliburton! Cheney! BIG Oil! Very few people even have a concept of W’s Admin because nothing was documented correctly by the MSM. W was okay in my book and eons above Gore. Gore is a little rich kid in Neverland. Kerry drew his Red Line today. Lets see how that works out for this moron who thinks Global Warming is our #1 priority. Obama and the Clown Club. They are all rhieves and stealing $Billions to sock away when everything crashes. By the way, everything is going to crash by design. Look over there. Squirrel!

The congressional Dems gave Zero a standing “O” when he told them he intended to bypass them for the rest of his term so I would not expect them to support Gowdy’s bill.

Nope! Bush played the hand he was dealt. Voted for him both times and I admired his support for our military. Personally, I would have preferred Cheney for president if he had run. No comparison with any of the RATs you mention. But as I see it, Bush, by virtue of his willingness to head up a protracted war, which as all wars since WWII, ultimately turned the electorate against him big time, and opened the door to the Marxists. Those are facts, that are separate from all of the extraneous stuff you wrote. Sure Gore was a worthless jerk. Kerry has been, and is, a disgrace as a human being. Ditto for Obama and Co. But Bush allowed them to succeed, or that’s my conclusion. Have no idea why you make reference to a squirrel. Is that directed at me?
