FWIW my Swiss-German ancestors settled in Penn’s woods in the 1740’2 and 50’s. They spoke German in their churches and in their parochial schools until the 1840’s. They continued to speak German in their churches until WWI.
But the NEVER insisted that the goverment cater to their language! NEVER.
So "Angel Cruz" is doing this.

Here in Washington State they just passed a bill for $5 million a year in GRANTS (not loans) for illegal kids to get free college funding.
How are these kids supposed to know if they get the money if everything isn’t written in Spanish?

Mmmm. Hardly anybody in this country speaks correct English. The “professional” news anchors don’t know the difference between an adjective and an adverb. I think we should keep English as our official language, but it should be proper English. I will give Mexico credit for one thing. They teach their kids proper Spanish grammar.

We NEED an English as an official language law and we should require a working knowledge of English to become a citizen.
