Need headphones for my Tv. Ones that I can adjust at my ears. I am fine with ones with wire and jack. Someone recommended AudioTechnica. I cannot see any volume control.
I need them because sometimes words are garbled. And I don't want to make noise after 6 pm. There is no noise to block, so that wont be an issue. They will plug into my black box with dials on the front that runs the speakers, Receiver?? perhaps is what it is called. Onkyo.

It’s kinda like saying “How can I make this problem worse?” because head phones are bad for your hearing. First, does your TV/Cable box have a plug for headphones. Do you always run the TV through the receiver?
I purchased wireless headphones for this purpose. Sennheiser RS120 On-Ear 926MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle. They were $70 a few years ago. Now I see they are around $90. Volume control on headset.
(I needed them because my kids don’t like the words on the screen - and they often are not accurate. )
I don’t really watch tv, just Netflix and movies through sony dvd player that is hooked through the black box with the dials, receiver?
Every show has a soundtrack all the way through and it gets in the way of me hearing the words.
I use headphones sometimes because my hearing is not so great at certain frequencies and I can’t hear dialog very well. And I don’t want the TV up so loud. I just use a $35 pair of full size Sony MDR-ZX300’s. I use the remote to control volume through my receiver. The sound is very good. Binaural, good bottom end and I can hear everything. I worked in Pro-Audio for 15 years, including a very high end ADC/DAC manufacturer. While there is technically a difference between a $300.00 set and a $35.00 set, for the causal listener the difference is negligible IMO.
I assume you watch them on the TV. Otherwise, it would be really boring.
Do you listen to the TV (that you don’t watch) through a set of separate speakers or through the TV?

I have 6 speakers. The man disabled the TV ones.
Men are apt to do that. I posted an Amazon version of what you want. You may be able to find it locally at a Best Buy or Walmart or something. You may need an extension for the headphone is you sit fairly far away.

Being hearing impaired I usually use headphones so the neighbors don’t complain when I turn up the volume.
My preference is for noise canceling headphones and have had a pair from Sony for many years. I (heart) them!
On the computer; plugging in the headphones mutes the speakers,a good thing.
I use them all the time with the computer; my new aids are Bluetooth to work with the TV / stereo.
