I think we can also assume this repurposing is going to be done very swiftly. They are not going to take their sweet time with it, thereby risking detection.....

Makes the most wild FR conspiracy theorists look mainstream....

The best thing about FR is that usually one of those theories is right in the end.

My theory is that we will soon start seeing videos on Youtube. A major islamic terrorist is probably behind this.

But they could use any old used up airliner bought on the open market for that..... And draw way less attention to themselves......

What if its NOT the ROP behind it?
Or Iran?

They do make the handiest scapegoats without personally defending them.

At this stage I may be leaning towards a Red Flag operation here.

The MSM says there are hundreds of islands in the Andaman & Nicobar islands. That is true, but most are not big enough to land an airliner.

That cuts the search area down considerably if a hijacking is the theory.

Anything is possible of course. However I would not recommend China as an adversary.

I agree with that. It makes no sense to me that they would pick one of the most advanced planes out there. Seems to me a 737 would have been a much better selection. There are zillions of them, so it would be a lot easier to slip into routine air traffic.

Using a 777 may have tripped them up because of the Aircraft Health reporting equipment.

If the idea was to swipe an aircraft and repurpose it, then the landing zone would have to have a landing strip with an improved surface (paved, and paved thickly). You can’t hide those. Additionally, fuel would have to be shipped in because it’s not likely they could get this bird off the ground again without it.

I wonder where they would get the fuel? Is there a Chevron station nearby? Would we be able to trace the credit card? It’s possible they pre-positioned the fuel, I suppose.

If the idea was to swipe an aircraft and repurpose it,

If that is the case, I would think every aspect of their terrorist operation would have already been planned and put in place maybe even for months...with fall back plans in case of unforeseen situations...

Really, it is too unfortunate that award winning thespian Leslie Nielsen is currently unavailable (has prior commitments) to star as the chief pilot in the Hollywood entertainment product vehicle version of this thrilling melodrama, at this point in time in pro-active pre-production development stage.
