The black Catholics atheists, and Muslims voted for Obama also as far as we know.

The problem with making a big deal of the LBJ quote, is that blacks had already permanently switched parties after the 1932 election.

Northern Blacks moved Democrat after 1932, but were not voting overwhelming en bloc (for example, when Republican Oscar DePriest lost reelection to his IL Congressional seat in 1934, the Black Democrat who beat him still received only a minority of the Black vote and was elected by an overwhelming majority of urban Whites in that district).

Most Southern Blacks were disenfranchised and would remain Republican until the 1960s.

Until 1936 republicans always won the black vote.

In 1932 Roosevelt got 23% of the black vote, in 1936 the switch was made, and it was permanent, in 1936 Roosevelt got 71% of the black vote while the GOP got the 28%, a complete reversal.

The democrat presidential races never had to sweat the black vote again.

8 out of 10 white Protestants voted for Romney...95% of black Protestants voted for Obama...

Correct, but your point is...?

I’m having a sense of deja vu. I think we’ve discussed this before.

In all honesty, I don’t know. His niece told me that people allegedly getting sick from insecticides is what got him going. His niece said that her uncle told her that no one could ever get rich picking grapes. At the time, i was working on an Indie film in NY and she was dating the director..

If you research the black leadership between Malcolm X and today you find a strange pattern. Assassins hit the ones who encouraged blacks to rethink their blind obeisance to the Democrats.

Nobody hated the Black Panthers like Urban Democratic Machines.

Interesting that they decided not to show the full graphical comparison where 2008 and 2012 percentages are shown as well. Such a chart would point out the obvious.

White voters, X said, “are so evenly divided that every time they vote, the race is so close they have to go back and count the votes all over again. Which means that any bloc, any minority that has a bloc that sticks together is in a strategic position. Either way you go, that’s who gets it.”

There's a flaw in X's thinking here...

‘X’ is projecting his own inherit tribalism onto white people in general which is his mistake.

X was right about whites NOT being tribal in 1964...

I believe that is just a matter of when the chart was created.

Albert Arnold Gore Sr was the primary voice leading the Dems in opposing the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It passed with majorities of both parties, but far more Republicans voted for it, and more percentagewise, than Dems.

Funny how in Election 2000, Bush v Gore, Bush was called "Junior" by the MSM, even though he does not share the same exact name as his father... and Bush's father's main "sin" ("Read my lips, no new taxes"... which Dems forced him to violate by never passing a budget without new taxes) was prominent during the election run-up, and yet Albert Arnold Gore Jr was never called "Junior", and his father's political record was never mentioned at all by the MSM. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

The Democratic Party was the party of slavery and segregation. many Democrats think blacks are their political slaves. They want to keep blacks poor so they think they have to vote for Democrats.

Malcom X is a was a far more interesting person than history records him as being.

He certainly was. I read "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" by Alex Haley years ago. His life was quite a story.
