Islam and the Rest of Us

A couple of days ago, you'll recall, we featured current controversies over a metal cross retrieved from the rubble at Ground Zero, and a roadside cross marking a fatal accident in Lake Elsinore, California. American Atheists and the American Humanist Association are suing over both outrageous provocations.

On the other hand, as far as I'm aware, American atheists and humanists have no plans to bring any separation-of-church-and-state suits against the City of Minneapolis, for its observance at City Hall last month of "Hijab Day". Female members of the city council wore the hijab, as did the Chief of Police, Janeé Harteau, a lesbian who recently married her "favorite sergeant", Holly Keegel. I have no idea what Sgt Keegel wore for Hijab Day. Maybe she went as the Grand Mufti.

Hijab Day grows a little bigger around the world each year. Its purpose is to enable the rest of us to show our support for women who choose to go covered. In reality, for most Muslim women around the world, the choice is made for them - by men. In Afghanistan under the Taliban, women were forbidden by law from ever feeling sunlight on their faces. Maybe most of them would have "chosen" not to feel it anyway, but we'll never know, will we? And in the west young Muslimas who decline their fathers' and husbands' choices do so at their own peril

All over the country (and in Minneapolis) religious foot baths and other things have been built, installed and created at great cost as Christian symbols and accommodations are removed, at great cost.

Not much is more expensive to add to an existing structure than new plumbing.

Minneapolis airport provides foot baths for Muslims

Muslim cabbies get sharia foot baths at Indianapolis’ new airport ...
Foot-washing benches at a taxicab facility at Kansas City airport ...

Yep. It's pretty disgusting. A religion cult based on fear and loathing. Just what we need.

IMHO, and this is NOT a popular opinion, the US is based solely on Judeo-Christian principles. The Jews and the Christians are in the majority. Our country has been that way since the beginning. People coming to this country that practice other religions should respect our principles. They should not proselytize. If they can't respect us they should leave. I have felt this way for years.

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

I’m sorry but I had to click on “Report Abuse” on that post. FR is a family oriented web site. No room for that kind of pornographic trash.

This is Martha McSally, a former Air Force Colonel and A-10 pilot. She is running for Congress as a Republican.

https://mcsallyforcongress.com/

The DoD tried to force her to wear the Abaya while deployed to Saudi Arabia. Many of our female servicewomen had to endure that indignity. Martha was the first officer to say "NO!"

No Abaya for McSally

She tried to get the policy changed for 5 years. The DoD and State Dept undermined a fellow American and tried to force her to bow to Islam. Eventually, she had to sue the DoD.

" "I'm a follower of Christ, and my Christian faith is the centerpiece of who I am. To be forced to put on the garment of a religion that I do not believe in and a faith I do not follow, to me, was unacceptable," shared McSally. "Second, the women whom this affects-the officers and enlisted personnel serving over there-we are putting our lives on the line to serve our nation, and we are over in Saudi Arabia as officials of the United States government and the United States military, doing a mission alongside the men. Wearing the abaya, sitting in the back seat, not being able to drive and having your subordinate have to claim you as his wife, as opposed to his supervisor, is so demeaning and so humiliating. To treat just some of our people in that way for reasons that I still haven't been able to get a very solid answer on is unacceptable."

She refused to dress like a ghoul for Islam.

Funny thing is, the leftards that enact these stupid laws will be the first ones against the wall when muslim law is implemented. Most of us will not make it to the wall - we will die in the streets resisting the inevitable.
