...Investigators search co-pilot's home and reveal home-made flight sim built by plane's captain
Daily Mail ^ | March 15, 2014 | By WILLS ROBINSON and RICHARD SHEARS

Investigators say the missing Malaysia Airlines jet was hijacked, steered off-course and could have reached Pakistan. A Malaysian government official said people with significant flying experience could have turned off the flight's communication devices. The representative said that hijacking theory was now 'conclusive', and, as a result, police have raided the luxury homes of both the captain and the co-pilot.

There was/is a video of the dude in front of his simulator.

Which indicates nothing, really.

Pilot is a pretty high position in that part of the world. Mayhap the dude grooved to aviation and wanted to maintain a top skill level.

The captain was also responsible for inspecting simulators.

The Malaysians are just hoping to keep the news media at bay by baffling them with a bunch of BS right now. The only thing we can infer from the goings on...they don't have a clue what really happened right now, there are multiple lines of inquiry, and nothing is really firm, but the obvious didn't pan out.

I’ve been postulating a possibility for a few days, so I’ll put it out there along with all the others:

If the plane was ‘under controlled flight conditions’ during all of its maneuvers and those were done with purpose to both mislead tracking (the north & south vectors) and to possibly incapacitate the passengers (the climb to high altitude after the drop to 20k...if that’s accurate), then it’s plausible that the last known vector was taken ‘as planned’.

Sri Lanka is well within the flight range of the 777-200ER and there are several airports I believe plausible for a landing/refueling scenario. If this was planned, Sri Lanka is the logical destination for a refueling stop (rampant corruption).

Perhaps the most logical, since most everyone is looking everywhere else for a plane that’s purported to have flown for up to a number of hours after its last radar contact...

Sri Lanka is a good guess. The shorter the trip, the better to avoid being noticed.

What’s the real-world, legitimate reason for a commercial pilot having the ability to disable a plane’s transponder and/or communication systems?

You ever work out job related stuff at home, just because it’s your thing and you enjoy proficiency?

You practice hunting down blog pimps at home?

Oh HELL yes.

One of the most demanding endeavors I've ever undertaken actually.

There’s a video online of one of the young women involved. The incident took place a couple of years ago and she’s only reporting it now because he’s one of the pilots on the disappearing plane.

I have to admit you are good at it. I’m occasionally in IBTZ but never IBHG.

“What’s the real-world, legitimate reason for a commercial pilot having the ability to disable a plane’s transponder and/or communication systems?”

You would need to disable the transponder because:

1. It is sending out the wrong code.
2. It is encoding the wrong altitude
3. It is shorting and is a potential source of fire.

Disable the communications:

1. Source of shorting and a potential source of fire.

That’s all I can think of regarding the comm.

Did they “investigate” by going to the pilot’s YouTube channel where he films instructional videos directly in front of his secret homemade simulator?

Sheila Jackson Lee says the plane has been missing for 400 years.

And it had the original copy of the Constitution on it.
