The Soul Of The GOP

The fact is, like it or not, the Tea Party is the soul of the Republican Party.

There is no better example of the need to have the Tea Party continue its cleansing of the U.S. Senate than the looming primary in Mississippi. Thad Cochran (R-Miss), 76, has been the leading pork dispenser on the Republican side of the aisle for decades.

He once vied for the honor with Alaska’s Ted Stevens; now he has it all to himself. Silent on major national issues, rarely heard from in the Senate, he stands as an apostle of the old ways, pursuing increased government spending with all the vigor of a Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) or Scoop Jackson (D-Wash.) of a bygone era. Without a scorecard, you couldn’t tell which of these old-fashioned senators is a Democrat or a Republican, a liberal or a conservative.

We will not return to national power by electing faceless, nameless Republican senators who do not stand up and never fight hard.

The passivity of the Republican minority in the Senate is the stuff of legend. But the Tea Party members have changed all that and deserve our thanks and commendation.

Sometimes, the amateurs of the Tea Party lead us astray. No one can deny that Missouri, Indiana and Delaware would be represented by Republicans had the Tea Party not nominated candidates who made themselves unelectable. And it is probable that we would have won seats in Nevada and Colorado as well but for Tea Party primary victories.

But a lifeless, soulless GOP would be no inspiration to anyone.

Rubio, Cruz, Paul, Johnson, Lee: These names light up our sky and animate our party. Where would we be without their star power?

The GOPe did it again in 2012, Palin gave us our only senate seat pickup, the tea party pumped life into the party with Cruz and others, the GOPe lost all 10 or so of it’s senate races.

Rove wasted hundreds of millions for nothing, while the tea party keeps trucking along, and now it’s victorious choices are energizing GOP politics for 2014.

The good thing about whores is they are for sale to the highest bidder and often moody as hell to boot. Their allegiance is only to those that serve their own self-interests. This is a good thing...: )

Someone wanna tell the GOP?

While I “agree” 100% ... I fear what we’ll get in 2016. Yes, we are strong in certain places but I just don’t know if we have the numbers.

Here’s hoping.

Point well made.

OTOH, I have never cared for “Top Down” dictatorial management, a la the LIEberal Democrap model.

I’d much rather that the Republicans come together in a voluntary manner and just support the folks who win their primary races. I don’t think that is too much to ask.

And, those Republicans who cannot get past having “their” candidate lose the primary, and fail to support the duly nominated candidate, should be voted out of office and/or be stripped of their party standing.

And, we can quit sending them money. For example, I’ll NEVER send Karl Rove any money!

Let us hurt these Traitors in their pocketbook!

I will never give money to any National or state Republican party. Candidates only. I will give to my local Republican district when I know how the money will be spend and for whom. But yes no more money for Rove and his ilk.

At the first mistake or goof in speaking the Republican leadership abandons candidates. Who among us has never had a slip of the tongue or something said that should not have been said.

The con-artist challenge by Democrats to RINOs to “Fix” the failed Federal Medical Insurance Law, Obamacare, is now approaching a decision point: April Fools Day, 2014.

Always eager to do nothing unless it is something that might make the Democrats hate them less, the GOP Establishment is actively searching for ways to help “their best friends across the aisle” on the failed Obamacare Law which is set to fail April Fools Day, 2014.

The GOP-E has recently picked up Romney’s “Torch of Tyranny” (Romneycare), and are happily working on their own version of Federal Medical Inurance called “RINOcare.”

Will the TEA Party Reps. in the US House rise up and replace “Doormat for Obama” Boehner, and then ABOLISH the RINOcare replacement of Obamacare, or will everyone just sit on their hands and be happy to be everybody’s fool, again?

Romney is hoping that Boehner’s RINOcare prevails, as it will allow Romney to run again as the GOP-E Nominee in 2016.

BTW, why are so many RINOs so determined to continue the financial destruction of America by advocating Federal RINOcare?

Obamacare has proven to millions of Americans that Federal Medical Insurance will always be doomed to fail, a lesson ignored by our sorry Federal RINOs.

FORWARD !

[BTW, have you ever noticed that the Obamanation command “FORWARD !” is ALWAYS towards the Financial Cliff?]

I don’t contribute to RNC, NRSC or NRCC. Donations go to worthy individuals and confirmed conservative groups supporting worthy causes/individuals.

I long for an election where a LIEberal agenda with LIEberal candidates competes with against a conservative agenda and conservative candidates.

Enough of these elections with squishy issues and candidates!

Perhaps, then, we can settle the argument.

PS DW and I love Maine. We have been going to Maine every summer (except 2012, dagnabbit!) since 2005. Great Pond Outdoor Adventure Center near Aurora is our favorite US campground.
