Its about time that someone on our side, someone truly on our side who shares our convictions, presented us with a viable plan that has a real chance of making a difference in changing Americas political class for the better. Steve Deace has done just that, with this provocative, smart, bold, innovative, and powerful book.

To put it bluntly, for too long we have lacked a plan.
Venting on social media isnt a plan. Calling a talk radio show like mine isnt a plan. Marches are not a plan. Blogging isnt a plan.
To be certain, all of those things are worthwhile. Ive invested my time doing all of them as well. But when the marches and talk radio shows are over, when the blogs have been read, and the social media has been shared, what happens next? Ask a patriot what he believes, and youll get an answer filled with courage of conviction. But ask a patriot what to do with his beliefs and youll often get back blank stares and shrugged shoulders.
The Left has gained a lot of ground in the culture the past few years not because its ideas are superior. If they were, they wouldnt need to deploy tactics that shut down debates they know they cannot win. Rather, the Left has gained a considerable foothold in our culture because it has a plan. And it has followed that plan and rarely, if ever, deviated from it for decades. The Left does not consider losing slower to be pragmatic as our failed leaders wrongly do, but the Left understands losing any ground is just plain old losing. Theyve taken much ground as a result.
It will take a carefully coordinated and disciplined plan to take that ground back. Just praying wont do the trick. Even Nehemiah constructed a plan to rebuild his civilization in addition to his prayer. Theoretical debate wont take that ground back, although it can lay the foundation for making it possible. Still, in any war and make no mistake, this is a war you need a plan. A practical plan that wages war in a way that advances the principles youre fighting for.
Now we have one.
This is a plan that works for every faction of the pro-liberty movement of patriots who are concerned these United States of America are facing their first existential threat on our own shores since the Red Coats were driven off. This is why my new book, Rules for Patriots: How Conservatives Can Win Again, may have the most diverse and impressive array of endorsements that any political book will receive this year:
The plan is endorsed by:
"As a frequent guest on The Steve Deace Show, I know that when it comes to taking on the radical left and the Obama agenda, Steve Deace is without peer. We need more folks like Steve who are fearless in their advocacy for protecting the freedoms and liberties that make this country great. Buy his book: you won't regret it."

"Clear-eyed and lion-hearted, Steve Deace is a latter-day Sam Adams. Every grassroots citizen who cherishes freedom and justice should study this highly readable antidote to political despair. These brilliant rules for political combat, if consistently wielded by an "irate, tireless minority,' will undoubtedly save our country."

"The American people, increasingly frustrated with the loss of liberty and expansion of government, are offered a tough burst of honesty and clarity from Steve Deace - whether it is on air or in his book. "In Rules for Patriots, Steve Deace lays out a blue print for victory for conservatives -- a blueprint based on drawing stark contrasts rather than painting in shades of gray. Deace calls for conservatives to fight rather than retreat, recognizing that without a fight, the Left will never back down."

"If you want to be able to say 'you're fired' to the people plunging this great country of ours down the drain, this book is for you. Steve Deace is one of the rising stars in conservative media, and he's able to tackle serious subject matter in a winsome way that's so easy to understand, even a Washington, D.C. politician can get it."

One thing is for certain, Steve Deace will never be confused with Joel Osteen. In Rules for Patriots Steve lays out the good, the bad and the ugly on the condition of our country and then lays out a game plan for conservatives to regain a real place on impact on the culture including politics.

Steve Deace has given us a punchy indictment of a Republican Party establishment that seems bent on losing again in 2016 with another Dole-style automaton. Deace's own plan for victory will enrage the hacks and hangers-on, which is why normal Americans will love it.

The plan is what I call my 10 Commandments of Political Warfare:
1. Never trust Republicrats.
2. Never attack what youre not willing to kill.
3. Never accept the premise of your opponents argument.
4. Never surrender the moral high ground.
5. Reverse the premise of your opponents argument and use it against him.
6. Never abandon your base (unless they are morally wrong).
7. Define your opponent before they define themselves, and define yourself before your opponent defines you.
8. Always make your opponent defend their record/belief system.
9. Stay on message.
10. Play offense.
For the next 10 weeks here at Townhall, were going to take a look at one of these commandments each Saturday and share what were doing wrong here and how we can do it right.
But this will just be the abridged version. The complete plan to defeat the Left and preserve American Exceptionalism can only be found by ordering your copy of Rules for Patriots: How Conservatives Can Win Again here.

Good article. Thanks for posting it.
‘Rules for Patriots’ sounds a little like a “me too” copy of ‘Rules for Radicals’.
A plan is needed; but what is needed more is a protocol that can call to order an organization that represents patriot conservatives.
The Left has a ready made organization in its union support. The SEIU can quickly form an ‘ACORN’ or ‘OFA’.
But an organization needs money.
The funds via unions are already there with union lawyers acting as controllers and providing access to bailout funds (e.g. UAW exemption but fed gov funds to bailout GM). A lot of funding to the Left flows from union dues of government employees and importantly it is a consistent flow of funds. This is a gorilla warfare tactic where skirmishes result in gaining money and arms to support larger skirmishes. The Left has learned how to suck money from the federal government for their political purposes.
How does the GOP get funds to fight? They look for who has it but almost every person that has funds for the GOP is a moderate or progressive, e.g. Romney, Jeb Bush, Meg Whitman, John McCain, Carly Fiorina and on and on.
The Tea Party and funds?
Yes, the Tea Party is capable of raising tens of millions even a few hundred million in 72 hours as was done in 2010. This is what strikes deep dear into the Left, why they label the Tea Party as racists and terrorists and why they disrupt the Tea Party groups from organizing further through IRS harassment. But the fund raising capability of the Tea Party groups is inconsistent. Sarah Palin and Jim Demint are superstars in this arena of fundraising and directing.
Most Tea Party conservatives are working class and simply don’t have the funds to go up against the imperial troopers that occupy the Beltway. It’s about the money. Money is what funds wars and working stiffs don’t have it individually.
But they have it collectively.
And to finance a war from small donations requires a tight knit set of groups that are well organized.
I like how the Tea Party groups are hard to define and how they are decentralized. The Revolutionary War was fought with small bands running the well-organized and well-funded British around in circles.
But the battles that were decisive in the Revolutionary War were fought with a Continental Army funded by a Continental Congress using what few dollars they controlled or land grants to the Midwest Territories.
It’s a little known fact that George Washington was a land surveyor and performed land surveys during his service in the French-Indian Wars. The land tracts he surveyed and recorded were used as a means to compensate Continental Army Officers in lieu of money. General Washington solved a great deal of the finance problems for the war. His faculty with finances and his brilliance as a strategist and tactician is what defeated the strongest army in the world in that time.
An Army needs to eat and be armed. The Continental Army braved the harshest of conditions with their passion and devotion. But still money was needed to operate.
The Tea Party leader that has the respect of the various Tea Party factions, who can make pleas for funds and have the various factions respond passionately with funds, will be the George Washington that defeats the ruling class.
The problem with money is that it causes persons that are granted access to it to sell their souls and love it, covet it. We see that in the GOPe class. They are sellouts.
Money is not the root of all evil. The ‘Love’ of money is the root of all evil. The money raised for conservative purposes is for funding the war against the Left and to ***continue*** to fund and support winners of elections so they are armed against the onslaught of special interests who will attack and seduce them from every angle. For example, Ted Cruz is well-funded from outside the Beltway and this gives him independence.
The GOPe are also well-funded but they are at the mercy of large banks, the Federal Reserve and special favors carved out from legislation and regulation. The GOPe is not independent. They are bought off.
Those that work in financing the war of conservative patriots may never be known to the grass roots, but they will certainly be unsung heroes for helping to preserve the Constitution and its Bill of Rights which taken together make America unique in history.
I couldn't get anybody to review it.
BUMP!
They certainly can’t win by appealing to the communist, socialist or Progressive agenda.
IMHO
