Barack Obama, Political Wrecking Ball
Commentary Magazine ^ | 14 Mar 14 | Peter Wehner

By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost.

What should particularly alarm Democrats is that Ms. Sink, who was not in Congress in 2010 and therefore did not cast a vote in favor of the Affordable Care Act, ran what Democrats considered a “textbook” campaign when it came to dealing with ObamaCare. She said she wanted to fix it, not repeal it; and she attempted to paint Jolly as a right-wing extremist on abortion, Social Security privatization, and in wanting to repeal ObamaCare. And yet she lost.

Political wrecking ball indeed. If Obama thinks the senate is lost, he is really going to step up his level of destruction over the next seven months as he will truely be a lame duck after November. But if Dems keep control of the senate, the following two years will be a living hell as he will be able to do whatever he wants knowing that the congress will abide his excesses and just ride out the storm until 2016. Scary times ahead.

The American people...that he is incompetent, weak, and untrustworthy. And that judgment is directed not just at Mr. Obama; it is implicating his entire party.

In a nut shell - he's got it...

After blindly allowing mac daddy to be their puppet master, Lining his pockets with kickback money he will, like everyone else, stab them in the back as he has nothing to lose. I can not believe how stupid the dumb-o-crat are to believe that he was helping them, he was only helping himself. It was is and always will be about him and only him. Now that he is almost done his perverted squatting as POTUS he will complete it by f’ing those who so willing bowed before him, the members of the dumb-o-crat party. I fear that the worst is yet to come.

Liberals wanted Mr. Obama. Now they have him. And now they may be undone by him.

*********************************

This was a while ago, but it’s most interesting to see it again:

....according to retiring Representative Marion Barry (D-Arkansas) President Obama believed his “personal popularity” would rescue blue dog Democrats from voter anger over the Health Insurance bill and other supposedly “progressive” initiatives. Berry said. “They [White House} just kept telling us how good it was going to be. The president himself, when that was brought up in one group, said, ‘Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me.’ We’re going to see how much difference that makes now.”

*************************************

I’m sincerely hoping the Master of Disaster, the Grand Narcissist and Liar-in-Chief will be hoist by his own petard.

You are assuming our national election system is not corrupted and rigged to ensure the Ruling Class MarxoFascists remain in power regardless of what the actual ‘votes’ were.

It’s not who casts the votes, but who counts them that determines the rulers.

And we already know the Marxist Left and the Ruling Class will keep counting and recounting and cheating until they declare themselves the victors.

If Republicans do take over the Senate, I'd like to see if they would be willing to start a veto override fight.

I wonder if there would be any sensible Senate Democrats who would be able to put the party aside in favor of reasonable, functional legislation and support an override of an Obama veto of a Republican bill.

Or would Obama do what Clinton was forced to do, and sign a Republican-sponsored bill from Congress in order to restore some sense of face.

Where the Democrat (read Communist) political machine failed Ms. Sink was by not creating an event they could use to rally the “low information” (read minority) voters in her District.

But, I can almost guarantee you, the Democrats will create a “Reichstag” moment they can rally their base behind prior to the November 2014 election.

Is Normalcy Bias so thick and acute that few seem to comprehend the fact that we had a MarxoFascist coup take place right in front of our faces?

Do most really believe that our institutions are going to save us from this Wrecking Ball and his Revolutionistas?

If so, then we have absolutely no clue what time has arrived for us.

There comes a time when empirical evidence and reality of his poor performance has to outweigh the false reality, the racial guilt politics, and the media story line of lies. When the Obama economy and Obamacare come wrecking your family’s way of life, then its hard to ignore. That is why his approval rating is so low.

If we can win the Senate in ‘14, I believe America can survive Obama’s presidency.

What Mr. Lifson is saying here, is that there’s a possibility that the Democratic party may not survive it. Obamacare is simply the gift that keeps on giving, in a political sense.

If the party bigs care about the party, they’ll give him the hook.

Obama has lost credibility with the lies, and is beginning to be seen as incompetent. For my lib friends he’s obviously become an embarrassment. They don’t want to talk about it.

Now is the time for the ‘pubbies to put another repeal of the ACA in Reid’s court. Dem Senators up for reelection may provide enough votes to pass it, IMHO.

A three point GOP win in an election in a ‘Rat district with the Libertarian Party candidate polling over 6% ... Wasserman-Shultz isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, but she’s definitely a tool.
