Let them move out of Crimea. No one is stopping them. Wait till they find out that Ukraine proper doesn’t want them.

“Never watched an election in Chicago, DC, or Detroit, have you?.”

I most certainly have. In fact, I was also illegally denied the right to vote in a California election and was threatened with arrest by the Democrat precinct workers before I could open my mouth to say a word to ask what was going on. As I left the poll to go and report the illegality, I stopped long enough to read the mandatory printout of the voters authorized to vote at the precinct poll. I found that my name had been removed from that list and the names of illegal aliens with Hispanic names had been substituted for mine at the address of my own home. I had previously received fraudulent California driver’s licenses at my home address for these same people.

When I got home from the poll, I began telephoning the authorities to report the vote fraud. Each office I called variously said they had no authority on vote fraud and suggested another office I could call. I spoke with the Los Angeles election authorities, the District Attorney’s Office, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the California Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, my Republican Congressman’s office, the U.S. Postal Servie Inspector General, and a number of other authorities. To make a long story short, these offices either claimed they could not accept such a report of vote fraud or identity fraud, or they went another step further by threatening to have me arrested for illegally opening another person’s U.S. Mail, which was untrue because I never opened the mail. In any event, no authority, state or Federal, would accept my report of vote fraud and identity fraud.

A few years later we moved our employment and our business out of California to another state.

WTF? Putin was Yeltsin’s hand-picked successor, who was made his #2 more than a year before he resigned.

Why should they have to move and not the Russians? The Tartars only left that region when Stalin (and I hope you’re not a fan of his) dragged them out. Also, and this may not matter to you, Stalin murdered millions of Ukrainians in 1933. The Russians were his willing executioners, too. So if anyone is the victim, it’s not these Russians worried about how they can increase their pensions or how they can retire early.

Not the 98.2% Diem got in 1955, but it'll do.

(US advisors tried to talk Diem into a lower number, but he wouldn't budge.)

The Russian propaganda machine is slipping. It should have announced 100%.

We’d have Putinista fans here who’d believe it too.

Not our fight. I can see this exploding into another Kosovo with US forces suckered into bombing Russian ethnics in Crimea. Ukraine ends up a failed state of drug dealers leeching off the West.

Looks like it’ll be 96%.

Looks like Kim Jong-Un’s results were a tad too perfect.

Sure seems that way doesnt it ?

And the Crimeans were happy with the elected government the coup deposed.

The irony is the US opposing the will of the people expressed in elections and insisting the militant coup is the true will of the people and the legitimate form of democracy.

Was he a Stalinist? A lot of leftist were? Of course, just to show how extremists can get carried away, I suppose that’s why some people are Putinistas today. They don’t care about liberty as long as they can get their agenda enacted.
