This make me want to scream. I endured a new math program foisted on our Jr high during my eighth grade. We barely survived as a class. I went from A’s to D’s, then back to A’s in high school, which thankfully didn’t participate in that nonsense.

FWIW, the interview with Bill Gates on CBS news was weird. He spoke favorably about out style math books which were small and got to the point. Yet "common core" is just the opposite....it's the gibberish of contemporatry math on steroids.
I suspect Bill Gates doesn't know what he talks about.
