I was out having a succulent Chinese meal when I got the news that Ares Armor was raided. Monderno broke the story earlier today pointing out an instagram released by our friend Jeremy Tuma, the COO of Ares Armor. After finishing up my crab wonton, I figured I would see what was the latest. Here is some video footage from the raid at their new National City store.

Rule of law requires obedience to statutes and natural law. A statute, or for that matter an administrative order from a court, can be just as misbegotten as any malfeasance you could imagine.

I agree, and I'll add "especially by those that are charged with creating, upholding and enforcing the Rule of Law". If they cannot or will not set the example, why should they expect anyone else to follow?

A statute, or for that matter an administrative order from a court, can be just as misbegotten as any malfeasance you could imagine.

Indeed, we see that too may legislators ignore the Constitution, and kick the proverbial "is-this-Constitutional?" can down the road for someone else to rule on (while their law gets enforces anyway), and too many judges no longer seem constrained by the Rule of Law, or by their oaths, but instead can be counted on, or coerced to legislate from the bench, to impose their opinion, their will, on the rest of us, regardless of how the people speak through their hired (elected) legislators. Not that I believe that a majority should be allowed to infringe on the rights of others, but those in the majority have their own rights that must also be protected.

The process seems broken to me right now...

Well, I did look in fact. It started out as a very local issue and didn’t go main stream until yesterday on Townhall where I found it.

I just cringe on how some people reach conclusions so rapidly, often pretty extreme conclusions at that.

I’ve no illusion that Progressivism is toxic to our Constitutional Republic and that Obama and most of his appointees really really suck or that Agencies abuse their power in the name of the Executive and ignore the Oversight

But I also know that for every little weird and grossly derogatory (percieved or otherwise) conclusion jumped to provides fodder for arguments against us and detracts from the real mainstream’s feelings about the current executive and environment.

So whenever I come across them, I try and challenge them to think critically.

I’m actually from Oceanside California. Lived there 30 years up until 2007 but I don’t know any of the players.

I was a sailor for 6 years, but the actual name Usagi_yo is short for Usagi Yojimbo, a comic book character that I enjoyed.
