n the fight against Tea Party primary challenges in congressional races, GOP incumbents have very different support systems, depending on which house they inhabit.
In Mitch McConnell, Republican senators have a minority leader whos willing to wade into the fight with promises to crush primary challengers. Republican House members, meanwhile, will be lucky if the national party agrees to hold their collective coat.
McConnells latest blunt talk came in a weekend interview with The New York Times, in which he predicted not just his own victory in Kentucky over Tea Party-backed challenger Matt Bevin, but said of Tea Party candidates in general, I dont think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.
Contrast that with National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), who made an appearance at the National Press Club on Tuesday to discuss the state of play in the 2014 mid-terms.
Walden professed not to even know who is and who is not backed by the far right in House primary races. I dont keep a list of who is Tea Party or not Tea Party, he said.
Well let the primaries play out, and I think thats appropriate. We dont get involved in terms of trying to push a primary one way or another; thats up to the voters in that district, he said. We will work with all candidates, and we silo that work, because we want whoever is the strongest to come out of this and whoever comes out of this to be the strongest going forward. So we work with each of the candidates in a confidential way.

That's how it's supposed to work, unlike Mitch McConnel, John Cornyn and their minions at the NRSC, who work incessantly to protect the Senate Aristocracy, where even if the republicans take the majority, it will still vote democratic.
Quite the little fiefdom they've created for themselves, where they choose who they'd like to work with and work to destroy anybody who dares to stand up to them.
That's why I support Brannon and Bevin, and Wolf, and Carr, and McDaniel, and Sasse, and Shannon, and Bright, and Broun.

Roger that! Ditto
Anyone have an polling or “on the ground Kentucky” reporting whether Mitch is in as much trouble as he sounds?
This is the last one from early February. I haven’t seen any since. But surprise, surprise, right after this poll, the Bevin TARP signature controversy popped up in an attempt to bring him down. So who knows what they look like now.
FWIW, on Fox News this morning, Karl Rove said that McConnell would win big against Bevin.

As stated, good.
“FWIW, on Fox News this morning, Karl Rove said that McConnell would win big against Bevin.”
Oh, they’re moving heaven and earth to make that happen!! And then McConnell will lose in November. But he will have prevented a conservative from getting into their precious Senate!
It is easier to replace a bad demoncrat than an incumbent repuglican. Vote against Cornrow and Turkey neck Mc Connell put a Demoncrap in the seat.
We'll test that theory in Indiana...but not until 2018.
We might as well have a dimmacrat in there instead of the traitorous Cornyn, who votes with Harry Reid when the really important votes that determine the future of the country are being decided.
