Kansas Dealer Turns Labor Protest into Free Advertising

"According to The Wichita Eagle, the United Brotherhood Of Carpenters And Joiners Of America Local 201 began a standard protest outside Subaru of Wichita last week with a "Shame on Subaru of Wichita" sign legally placed on the highway right-of-way in front of the dealership. (The union, which has not specified its exact complaint, may have been upset that the dealership's contractor hired a non-union shop for renovations.)

The dealership responded instead with its own sign, turning the union's charge into one of "having unbeatable prices."

KEYWORDS: protest; righttowork; unions
You have to go to the site and see the banners. The union one is on the left and the dealer copied the exact style and coloring for the advertising banner on the right.

It's hilarious!

I didn’t realize building unions were so strong in Kansas.
I know it’s a RTW state.

More irony - Subarus built in non-union plant in Lafayette, Indiana.

That's brilliant!

What would be even better is if passers by photographed any “Union” protesters while informing them of the absolute requirement to report ALL their wages from the Unions, and pay ALL the personal income taxes required by law...

Do all the “professional protesters” pay their fair share of estimated income taxes quarterly, based on anticipated 1099s?
No?
That can really hurt, if they weren't expecting about 20% of their cash “wages” to be of special interest to the IRS.
Do they not understand that records have to be kept and reported by the Unions?

ROTFLMAO!

These guys protest all over Boise, ID too. Same signs. It’s not a labor dispute like the sign says. Here in Boise they protest places that they did NOT get the contract to work at, or non-union contractors were used. Has nothing to do with “poor worker treatment” the protesters were never workers on the sites to begin with.
