Former Top Putin Advisor Sounds The Alarm: Putin Has Already Declared War On Kiev
Forbes ^ | March 17, 2014 | By Paul Roderick Gregory Contributor

Posted on 03/17/2014 8:39:08 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Andrei Illarionov, formerly Vladimir Putin’s top economic advisor (and personal envoy to the G8) , has warned in an interview with Ukrainian television that Putin has already declared war on Kiev. Putin’s war is being conducted by Russian Spetsnaz (special operations) forces and KGB (now called FSB) agents and is aimed at toppling the pro-Western government in Kiev. The Spetsnaz forces’ orders include the sowing of civil unrest throughout Ukraine via strikes, demonstrations, staged incidents, and street battles. Putin’s subversive forces will also gin up neo-Nazi incidents with Nazi regalia and Swastikas on full display. Their orders include as well the deliberate killing of Russian soldiers and of ethnic Russian civilians to prove the hatred and extremism of radical Ukrainian nationalists. These orders come from Putin himself. Their goal is to create an image of intolerable chaos and loss of civil authority to justify a Russian takeover of all Ukraine. Putin’s goal is the destruction of pro-Western authority in Ukraine, the total humiliation of the West, and a makeover of the geopolitical balance.

Illiaronov’s urgent advice to Ukraine: Place all your effort into preserving civil order and avoid falling for the Spetsnaz provocations. (This will be difficult as Spetsnaz-organized gangs are already storming public buildings in East Ukraine). Ukrainian authorities must immediately close all borders with Russia to slow the infiltration of Spetsnaz and FSB destabilization units. Ukrainian TV and radio must immediately broadcast all their news in Russian or in English because many Ukrainian citizens and Russians do not understand Ukrainian.

Illarianov pleads that the whole world understand what Putin is up to. A Putin success in taking over Ukraine would change Europe and the balance of power and lead to further “restorations” of the former Soviet Union...

Russians and many Ukrainians will fight to the death rather than allow these Nazi scum to control Ukraine.

Yes, because Nazis are worse than Commies.

Why are Nazis worse than Commies again?

You must have a list, eh comrade?

Putin is a complete moron if he thinks that. Regardless of our differences whether they be political, racial, religious, or whatever, Americans will come together to face a existential threat like Putin and the serfs who put him in power. Cold War III is here and World War III likely only a few years off. We must unite to win and bring freedom and self determination to the world once again. All the conflicts over gay marriage, abortion, illegal aliens, taxes, etc. must be put on the back burner until after we achieve victory.

I do not claim that Russia has any legitimate right to violate the sovereign territory of any country. I merely asked what you believe is the legitimate role of the United States of America in this affair, beyond its meaningless words. What say ye?

Putin is an ally of Iran; he’s supporting their nuclear program, and he’s providing them arms. He’s working not just against Obama but against free people throughout the world. In time, I hope you wake up to the actions he’s pursuing that will harm the long term interest of all who want freedom and peace.

Kosovo set the precedent. Putin is just following in our footsteps. I don't love Putin nor do I want to move to Russia but hypocrisy is blatant here.

When China invaded Tibet were you this upset? What have you done about that? Perhaps we need to go to war with China to free Tibet.

I realize from your posts that you’re not very well informed, but I’ll help you with something. China invaded Tibet in 1950. I don’t think you know that. I think you meant to be cute. I was not yet born.

Nice try however, your article was printed in 2005.

Here is a video from Russia detailing Russian neo-Nazis. It too, is from the late 2000s. They are 'inclusive' neo-Nazis, hating all who are not Russian, including Jews. Part 1, Part 2

And here is a video of Jewish Russian neo-Nazis in Israel, including a young Ukrainian. Even crazier than the 'cultural' Jews, who continually vote for the Dhimicrats!

There are, via the press - 37 Sovoboda members in the new Ukraine parliament.

Quite a few others came from the Fatherland which is also very fascist and far right.

Most press accounts will tell you they are now allied and there is little if any difference between them.

Yes it was in 2005. I could find neo nazis in this country as well.

But only in Ukraine are they holding a majority in parliament.

Pretty funny how all you add to discussions are statements of contempt and name calling with no ability to debate on a level of mutual respect. There are a lot of freepers here lately with this issue.

You’re supporting the fascism of Putin who blames the Nazia in Ukraine for wanting an independent country while he tells his people at home it’s all the Jews in Ukraine. You’re duped by Putin, who is using his power to bolster Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Anyway, your Putin has drawn first blood on the long suffering Ukrainians. Go celebrate.

There is no new parliament, it’s the same parliament from 2012. 37 svoboda members are 10% of the parliament (ie. a small minority) and hold about the same percentage as the Russian psychopath Zhirinovski in the Russia Duma.

The new government (post Yanukovich) has 3 Svoboda ministers out of a total 18.

It’s laughable to describe Fatherland/Batkivschyna party of Yulia Tymoshenko as far-right and fascist, so I don’t know if you’re kidding or just BSing. Please let me see those accounts. Maybe the German sounding translation is throwing you off, so if you like, you can go with “Motherland”.

The most important post was claimed by a co-founder of Svoboda, Andriy Parubiy. He was named Secretary of the Security and National Defense Committee, which supervises the defense ministry and the armed forces.

The new parliament has passed legislation that declares Russian speakers no longer have equal rights with Ukrainians.

He is also associated with Prime Minister Yatsenyuk’s Fatherland Party. Dmytro Yarosh, leader of the Right Sector delegation in parliament, was named Parubiy’s deputy.

Oleksandr Sych, a Svoboda parliamentarian from Ivano-Frankivsk best known for his attempts to ban all abortions in Ukraine, including those resulting from rape, was named deputy prime minister for economic affairs. Svoboda was also rewarded with the Education Ministry under Serhiy Kvit, as well as the Ecology Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry under Andriy Makhnyk and Ihor Shvaiko, respectively.

Earlier in the week Svoboda member of parliament Oleh Makhnitsky was named prosecutor-general of the Ukraine.

Others with ultra-right associations with the Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian National Self Defense (UNA-UNSO) also received cabinet posts. Tetyana Chernovol, portrayed in the Western press as a crusading investigative journalist without reference to her past involvement in the anti-Semitic UNA-UNSO, was named chair of the government’s anti-corruption committee. Dmytro Bulatov, known for his alleged kidnapping by police, but also with UNA-UNSO connections, was appointed minister of youth and sports.

Yaysenuyk’s Fatherland Party, and figures close to it, obtained ten cabinet posts, including deputy prime minister for EU integration, interior, justice, energy, infrastructure, defense, culture, social issues, and a minister without portfolio. Yegor Sobolev, leader of a civic group in Independence Maidan and politically close to Yatsenyuk, was appointed chair of the Lustration Committee, charged with purging followers of President Yanukovych from government and public life.

from here and many other major media outlets online.

In Ukraine, nationalists gain influence

"Two of the groups under most scrutiny are Svoboda, whose members hold five senior roles in Ukraine's new government including the post of deputy prime minister, and Pravyi Sector (Right Sector), whose leader Dmytro Yarosh was acclaimed by protesters as a future member of the National Security and Defence Council but not subsequently appointed to the post.

I don’t see one post from you about murdering fascists ruling Russia. Someone who invades his neighbor with a fifth column and kills them. Killing people today and you apparently don’t have any issue with that. You would rather have day dreams about Ukrainian fascists under ever rock. That is detached from reality and disturbing.

When you quote from something called The People's World , or World Socialist Website who exactly are you trying to impress, especially in this forum?! These "news-sites " are a front for the Kremlin, their "useful idiots", communist apologists who have blood on their hands when they were covering for Stalin's crimes.

So let me read their mission statement
Peoplesworld.org is a daily news website of, for and by the 99% and the direct descendant of the Daily Worker. Published by Long View Publishing Co., People's World reports on the movements for jobs, peace, equality, democracy, civil rights and liberties, labor, immigrant, LGBT and women's rights, protection of the environment, and more...

People's World and Mundo Popular are known for partisan coverage. We take sides. Yours. The editorial mission is partisan to the working class, people of color, women, young people, seniors, LGBT community, to international solidarity; to popularize the ideas of Marxism and Bill of Rights socialism.

The websites enjoy a special relationship with the Communist Party USA, founded in 1919, and publish its news and views. People's World and Mundo Popular are part of the People Before Profit Network.

It is only fair for you to put a line "I'm here to spread Kremlin propoganda" at the end of all your posts for the unsuspecting public.
