Fmr. Gen. Doubles Down on Claim Malaysian Plane Could Be in Pakistan to Be Used for Terror
Mediaite ^ | March 18, 2004 | Noah Rothman

Appearing on Fox & Friends last week, retired United States Air Force Gen. Thomas McInerney speculated that the missing Malaysian passenger airliner had been intentionally flown to South Asia where it could be used as a delivery vehicle for conventional or nuclear explosives by terrorist actors. On Tuesday, McInerney repeated that claim and said that the recent actions of the Israeli and American governments lent credence to that theory.

My guess was Somalia as initial stop for fuel, then almost anywhere. This airplane could easily mimic a legit international flight, and cross our adiz with impunity. All it takes is 5k feet of packed dirt and a semi load of jet a.

He was close to claiming inside information. They mentioned on Hannity that when that hotel was attacked in Mumbai, India a few years ago, US intel knew more than it let on.

Speculation.

Large amounts of gold on plane. 30 businessmen from some corp. That’s all I have read so far into it.

If that plane with 152 Chinese onboard was in Pakistan the Chinese government would be sending an armada there through the Malaccan Straits to get their citizens back.

Furthermore to get to Pakistan it would have to get through Indian radar without detection and the possibility of that is near zero.

I did imagine that he might know a bit more than we do, but, you can’t be sure there is anyone left who would confide in an old school general.

There’s no need to steal the plane to deliver weapons. A better question is who on the plane was worth kidnapping, if anyone.

I disagree. Access to an entire long range, jumbo airliner with all of its capacity makes it possible to deliver even the most clumsy, outsized bomb that can be loaded inside it - and enables you to deliver it right to the heart of an enemy's territory. I can't imagine a hijacking this elaborate wasted on anything less than a spectacular strike at the Infidels.

But we would all have to agree that wherever that plane got to, it got there without being detected.

Where do you hide one of these planes? You would need a helluva hangar. Are there a lot of those in the Taliban controlled areas of Pakistan?

Looks big--but not exactly gigantic.

I think Pakistan would have quite a few of these sheds at their bigger airports.

Yes, you can be sure that there are plenty of serving officers in McInerney's orbit -- that's why Fox News pays him. The serving generals use him to spread stories that advance their interests, and give him enough of what he needs in exchange. And given his high-level experience with sensitive information and command responsibility, McInerney can be trusted not to damage missions and sources by saying more than he should.

Imagine if this plane is in Middle East and it were to be outfitted with a nuke destined for Israel. Israel would have two horrible choices.

1. Shoot the nuclear equipped plane down over an Arab country, or

2. Be nuked themselves.

Of course they will not choose 2., then they would be vilified by the left, including the media, for killing thousands of muslims to save themselves.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. If 370 ducked into a regular airline route and avoided the Indo-Pak border areas with their heavy anti-air defenses, the Indian AF radars wouldn't have given them a second glance. And with its transponders off, 370 would have been invisible to India's civilian air traffic controllers. The airline routes would have taken it without notice to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan and Tajikistan -- all north of the Indo-Pak border. From there, it could have dropped out and landed at its secure destination.

No ELT going off and no Wheels-on-Ground signal can only mean one thing...

M370 is still in the air. Obviously, it used its remaining fuel to divert to a mountain ridge with incredible thermals (somewhere in the Himalayas?), and is riding back and forth the length of the ridge to maintain some altitude. We've just gotta find them before their food carts go empty.

I think the Former General should communicate his ideas directly to the White House or the CIA, as is applicable. I don’t think General McInerney should be going on TV giving the families yet another nightmare scenario that involves their missing loved ones’ suffering all manner of agonies and/or torture. What next, speculating what kinds of Vultures or Condors are now circling over the fresh mounds of carrion?

That’s rather naive of you.

Suffice to say.......you could be wrong.

Also, the good General should be considered credible.

Lets not forget that one of the FBIs most wanted terrorists, Adnan El Shukrijumah, also known as Jafar fhe Pilot, is still on the loose.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1716996/posts

He was commissioned by Bin Laden to carry out a nuclear 9-11. hes been working on that for over a decade. if it turns out that this plane was hijacked and landed somewhere, i would not be surprised if he is involved.

he last made some “noise” in 2009 with the thwarted nyc subway bombing. so 5 years later....he’s due.
