Lucky for us that the Democrats chose a Commander in Chief with no previous US Military experience, is an arrogant Nobel Peace Prize winner, who wears Mom Jeans that makes him look like an ass when he leads from behind.

FORWARD !

Yep, I agree.

It’s sinister to think he’s supporting Putin, but his actions seem to always end up with Putin having the upper hand. It’s possible Obama is this incompetent, but the whispering with Medvedev sticks in my mind and makes me wonder what’s really happening here.

If a low level contractor was given access to American War plans, that would be the scandal of the century.

And if a low level contractor could get this material, how hard would it be for professional spies to get it?

This Snowden hatred is a huge straw man distraction from a gigantic failure of our Federal Government. And a CONTINUING failure.

Not once, my friend, BUT TWICE. TWICE.

The MSM did NO VETTING of this man. The low information voters voted for: tribe, "cool", youth, history, guilt, hope, and change. They were duped, lied to and co-opted. Are you living through a quiet coup?

I think the situation is actually a lot worse than even you or I realize. In foreign affairs America's enemies are on the march in Asia, Europe, the Magreb, and the mid-East. And they march with impunity. America's allies are scared, confused and, increasingly, isolated. In terms of foreign policy, this regime has completely fallen apart. Policy is constructed on an ad hoc basis.

Domestically, the problems are even bigger. Government provided economic statistics are skewed for political purposes. In other words, they are false. The stock, commodity, and bond markets are all manipulated. Individual freedoms are being eroded on a daily basis. The press is a propaganda arm of the democrat party. Certain ethnic groups are given special privileges as a matter of policy.

If you sit back and ponder for a moment the enormity of the situation, you might start stocking canned food. Your country is in the most trouble I have ever witnessed. And I remember Eisenhower.

Thanks for all your posting. But no one should confuse or blame snowden for the weakness putin is now exploiting.

If snowden was a russian agent, we never would have heard a word about it.

Blaming snowden for american weakness is something obama and his supporters would like us to believe. Shifting blame to snowden/bush- anyone but obama.

My first real political memory is the JFK/Nixon campaign for the presidency. Our family supported Nixon, so I remember conversations with the neighbor kids when we walked to and from school. They were basically good years to grow up in. The economy allowed most anyone to work who wanted to, churches were full, schools used rote memory, and baseball was king.

Even incompetence, such as the bay of pigs, was real incompetence and not behind the scenes betrayal.

Now, I’ve little doubt barry is betraying the nation and strengthening the hand of America’s enemies and weakening the hand of America in every conceivable way so as to leave the nation vulnerable and incapable of responding to our enemies.

Canned food, land, seed, bullets.

Snowden said he fled to democratic countries = China and then Russia.

Get real.

It always comes down to that, doesn't it? Working on it, I'll freepmail my address to you when I get it done. It will be in an out of the way place, and outside CONUS.

The view must be very clear from where you sit. Many Freepers are still having cognitive dissonance on some deeper level. A good analogy, last fall a burglar kicked my front door in. As I heard the cracking and thunderous noise — very quickly— my brain scanned for every experience it could recall to “normalize” what it was processing. Ofcourse, it could not. A very similar thing is happening here. The normalcy bias is so strong with Americans — it is taking them a very long time to accept what is clearly playing out in their lifetimes.

It is. I'm old and close to a large US city that has fallen to third world status.

Many Freepers are still having cognitive dissonance on some deeper level.

I know. I read a post the other day knocking Canada's record on free speech. As if free speech was still alive and well in the US.

The normalcy bias is so strong with Americans — it is taking them a very long time to accept what is clearly playing out in their lifetimes.

The last 13 years, for you and I, have been a sea change. I remember when you drove to the airport, paid for your ticket in cash and WALKED ON THE AIRPLANE, just as an example.

The loss of personal liberty has been a slow but sure process. I doubt that people will wake up. I do not know how this will end.

Get real ? You are conflating 2 problems. You want to blame our weakness on snowden. In doing so, you absolve obama. Sorry you are so inclined. Again, if snowden was a russian agent, he never would have publicly said anything.

Its all okay. Obama has sent John Kerry and a team of “expert scientists” to Uganda to educate their leader on the positive merits of homosexuality!

That’s real leadership, ya know.

I’m stating a fact. Not “conflating” anything. I would never absolve Obama - he is what he is.

Russian agent?!

Snowden is like Obama, he doesn’t like this country.

That’s it in a nutshell.

They’re 2 peas in a pod.

And they spell trouble for freedom, the nation and the world.

Thats debatable. Why you want to mix snowden with obama is not clear to me.

Maybe you enjoy living in a police state. And without big changes, thats where we are headed.

Give it some time.

Perhaps if you stopped insulting me personally you might see that we agree on many things.

I am not hopeful. You tell them we will end up like Europe and they think more vacation time and say, “Where do I sign up?”

It all depends on who you want to listen to.

Instead of listening to these chronically failing neocons, I'll listen to the realists like Henry Kissinger, James Baker and Bob Gates. And probably Zbig.

I am not hopeful either. The end of hope for me was November, 2012. In the full light of day Obama was exposed as a effete, incompetent, inept, racist, disinterested narcissist with communist leanings. He was still re-elected. How does that happen in a democracy with an informed electorate?

These days I listen to the voices of reason and reality. Beck in the morning. Rush at noon. Hannity at 3. The best news and analysis is meted out by John Batchelor every night. I highly recommend him.

Just working and planning for a move to the north and a more self sufficient lifestyle. A long way from any large Canadian urban area. Several hundred miles, an international border and a couple of difficult water obstacles from any US urban areas.
