The same tactic happened with the colors of the states regarding red and blue. Many people believe that to be trivial nonsense but it is not. It is subliminal and effective with the LIVs which, unfortunately account for the vast majority of our population.
Many of my very conservative friends could not pass a civics test. Their hearts are conservative but their minds are on sports, etc. I try to work on them continuously but it is a struggle. Even my wife thinks I am a political dork and maybe I am but,.....
