Save some money and do Ukraine as well.

Save even more money and reissue the August 31, 1939 map of Europe (you can buy one on the NGS website). That shows the Ukraine and Belarus as their proper sizes, respectively, with Lwow, Grodno, and Brest in Poland where they belong.

A rushed referendum with foreign troops in the streets is supposed to be legitimate? Will you say the same when parts of California vote to join Mexico?

Yet another Proof, that those Green on the outside are RED on the inside.

Watermelon Communists.

If National Geographic were to show the world as it really is

What "really is" is exactly what is at issue between the "West" and Russia, right now.

And I'm not sure that the UN-IMF-EU-Soros-World Bank-Davos-Obamatron view of what "really is" is going to prevail.

Is a thread from a couple days ago....links to an animated map showing most of the border changes in Europe from the last 950 years or so....fascinating.

Maps change. Watch this:

Political Borders of Europe from 1519 to 2006

Animated.

I’m more concerned right now about Putin’s reported plans to establish military bases in Cuba, Central and South America, thus threatening to put us on the ever-changing map. There are, after all, a few Russians in Texas and California that, using his reasoning, need protection.

I love to see historical maps such as this.

I’m curious if they recognize Israel?

That was my thought as well. They DO have Israel on the map (not Palestine or some other entity). They have the West Bank labeled separately, however, which seems to conflict with their thinking on the Russia-Crimea situation.

Say that to Kosovo and Iraq. They voted with USNATO occupying forces present.

I see, so if the Poles in Chicago decide Chicago ought to be a part of Poland, then we should just step aside and say, “Hey, no problem, let’s call NatGeo and get that map of the US redrawn.”

The excuse Putin used in the Crimea was IDENTICAL to the one Hitler used to invade the Sudetenland, and eventually Austria.

They map the reality of the situation. They even show the disputed areas between India, Pakistan and China (occupied areas of India after invasion) even though those claims are 50 years old.

Hmmmm, that might not be such a bad idea.

They might wait a few months. Most likely, more additions are on the way.
