Back in 2013 it was Syria where the world was gearing for imminent military action after a relentless series of false flag provocations by the United States (intent on securing a Qatar gas pipeline to Europe) which in the last minute was deftly diffused by Vladimir Putin. In 2014, it was the Ukraine's turn, and after a prolonged campaign orchestrated by Victoria Nuland and the US State Department (again) which succeeded in the now traditional violent coup (see Egypt and Libya), once again saw Putin victorious, after yesterday's annexation of the all important Crimean peninsula, achieved without the firing of one shot. So now that Putin has succeeded in trouncing the US twice in a row, it is time to poke some old, well-known geopolitical wounds, such as Iran. And who better to do it than Israel, where as Haaretz reports, "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon have ordered the army to continue preparing for a possible military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities at a cost of at least 10 billion shekels ($2.89 billion) this year, despite the talks between Iran and the West, according to recent statements by senior military officers."

Saw an article recently (dang .... wish I could remember the particulars so I could look it up) that the Obama administration has been talking to a newer figure in the Israeli government with an eye towards getting rid of Netanyahu with this person as his replacement.
The Obamathugs are going around actively fomenting unrest, rebellion, overthrows in the ME .... look how Egypt & Libya turned out. Now it appears they’re actively going after Netanyahu. The article didn’t think much of the new guy’s chances since he is not as well known & there were some other factors, the details of which I can’t remember.

TEL AVIV – In recent weeks, representatives for the Obama administration have held meetings with a senior politician here in which the U.S. delegates brought up the possibility of replacing Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister, according to an informed Jerusalem diplomatic source.
The meetings were held with Israel’s popular finance minister, Yair Lapid, founder and leader of the Yesh Atid Party, which became the second-largest party in the Knesset winning 19 seats in the last election.
The diplomatic source said the Obama administration identified Lapid as a moderate who could be helpful in pushing the Israeli government into accepting the framework to create a future Palestinian state.
According to the source, the talks included the possibility of Lapid bolting Netanyahu’s government if the prime minister rejects the U.S.-brokered regional talks.

I heard the same thing. This meddling is the Hallmark meddling of this administration. They send community organizers to foment chaos and anger seeking to oust someone and replace that person with a puppet that will do their bidding. Netanyahu may act to thwart their trouble making.
This is more than a decade too late. I hope Israel’s leaders have spent that time wisely developing plans and specialized weapons to do what needs to be done. I also hope Netanyahu will exercise more restraint when it comes to public comments on their plans. If details leak to their enemies (and America’s enemies) in the White House, that information is certain to reach Tehran immediately.
