The State Department in its 2013 human rights report on Afghanistan said the sexual abuse of boys, or bacha baazi, is on the rise in the region, with the practice becoming common in Kabul.

“The practice of ‘bacha baazi’ (dancing boys)—which involved powerful or wealthy local figures and businessmen sexually abusing young boys who were trained to dance in female clothes—was on the rise,” the State Department said in its human rights report.

The report noted an increase in rapes during the year, with most victims being children. In fact, sexual abuse of children reached an all-time high, according to the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC). …

The dying is due to rules of engagement that make no sense at all. Otherwise it’d be the enemy dying.

What’s really twisted is while the state department reports on this, it also promotes it to the Afghans.

A young missionary man from our church went to Afghanistan back in 2007 to teach Afghani boys English. He said most of the boys had been sexually assaulted by Afghani elders in their towns. Some of the boys were looking forward to getting older and being in a position of power so they could enjoy perpetrating humiliation like the elders before them.

After returning, he told me there was no hope to transform enough of those people to goodness. Between Islam and the tribal traditions it was a chaotic mess.

Makes you sick to think of the gay parade they are trying to make out of St. Patrick’s Day in Boston, USA. How many convictions like Sandusky and the mess in the Priests Catholic Church do we need before the majority sees the common sense of this as a perversion?

Time for the USA to get back to our Founding Values or be subjected to the same judgment of God as Sodom and Gomorrah in the time of Abraham.

Very sad indeed.

Too bad the mothers have so little to say in all of this. It's a culture and society that's a mess. I guess it always has been that way and always will be. It was probably that way long before Islam, since Islam only arrived there in the 7th century.

The state department should be dealing with unchecked illegal immigration right here. I do not care about buggered Afghani’s.

However, “even men who practice homosexuality exclusively are not labeled by themselves or their counterparts as homosexual.”

“Loving a man would therefore be unacceptable and a major sin within this cultural interpretation of Islam, but using another man for sexual gratification would be regarded as a foible – undesirable but far preferable to sex with an ineligible woman … which would likely result in issues of revenge and honor killings,” the Army’s report added.

My husband and I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for five years. The 30 Saudis I worked with were pretty ordinary Joes Schomes from Kokomo, blue collar, common ordinary working stiffs. They were all married, with children, just working to pay the bills.

I heard a group of the older men talking in earnest one day. They kept saying "sayarit" a lot.

After their confab I asked my boss what they were talking about. They were all complaining about their older teenage sons who DIDN'T want to work, DIDN'T want to go to school and DIDN'T want to stay home and help out. They just wanted to drive around in their sayarits... cars...and talk about girls.

I laughed. I said that OUR teenage males were just the same.
