President Obama announced Thursday that he is imposing sanctions on additional senior Russian officials and others over the country's annexation of Crimea, warning that broader economic sanctions could be in store if Russia does not stand down.
The president, speaking on the South Lawn of the White House, voiced concern that Russian military positioning could point to "further incursions" into southern and eastern Ukraine. He also issued an executive order giving the U.S. authority to impose sanctions on "key sectors of the Russian economy."

He enjoyed Bush...over 67 oil/gas contracts with Putin when he visited..and why Putin was smiling from ear to ear so much.
Putin has said..”Whoever produces, prices, and distributes oil controls the power”.... Which is why Putin himself makes all the decisions concerning Russia’s oil. He IS Russia’s oil Czar....and uses it as a weapon because he’s built his Oil Empire to where we see it today.
He knew Bush knew that as well...so they could communicate and deal. He respected Bush because he wasn’t going to disturb the “pay out” he’d have from Bush by doing so. However Bush understood that as well.
Obama and Putin cannot communicate...they are diametrically opposed with no common interest. Besides, Obama is not the least skilled in handling Putin...he’s way over his head when he tries....for that matter pretty much everything else as well...as his administration.
My argument is that Congress, not Obama, has the power to declare war. Obama is not the last word. And if Congress did declare war and Obama refused to execute as Commander in Chief the declaration by Congress to engage, then I see a clear impeachment and removal issue. If Congress did act, I would hope the declaration would at least begin on a limited regional scale.
“we should be vigilant and start coming up with a plan to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian oil and gas.”
Why should we give a crap about Europe’s dependence on Russian oil and gas? Don’t we have plenty of problems of our own to worry about?
The Convention of States may also help get Congress off their keisters.

...”You know its ultimately up to the American People - us -”
Well there was a time where I would agree...but America -us- are not the us we were. Too many are liberal minded and without any history, so they can’t discern when they consider who to vote for...which of course was the intent of the liberal/progressives when they took over our educational system.

Yes, the guy who badly needs a straijacket ...
Yes, the bad guys seem to have the institutional levers of power. But fundamentally, it’s a spiritual battle - really, it always has been. God miraculously brought our country into being and has kept her through thick and thin. Without His divine intervention, we would have been finished a long time ago, and so it is now. We will need His mercy now to see us through once again.
Obama is going to cut off Wagyu beef going to Pootie Poot Putin.
....” We will need His mercy now to see us through once again”...
Except that the nation on a whole has shut him out, and I don’t foresee another revival with the World Stage shaping up as it is. It may slow down some but the trajectory is clear.
I do think he will take care of Christians regardless, though perhaps not in the comforts accustomed to for so many years.
So, Vlad what is your response to the American fool pretending to be a tough guy?
Russia is way too capitalist/conservative for Obama to tolerate, Obama knows that action must be taken now to stop Russian imperialist expansion and keep the world safe for true communism [/sarc]
