President Obama pushed back on criticism of his recent appearance with comedian Zach Galifianakis to promote the Affordable Care Act, noting that President Lincoln "loved telling the occasional bawdy joke." The president´s remarks, during an interview with ESPN Radio´s Colin Cowherd that aired Thursday, were an indirect jab at Fox News host Bill O´Reilly, who argued during a segment of his show earlier this month that the 16th president would never have agreed to such an appearance. Those weren’t Lincolns jokes!! Those were the speech writers. Lincoln just read them from the teleprompter and everyone laughed.
Origninally, Lincoln floated the idea of simply deporting all the slaves.

This is where “journalism” has gone...defending Obama’s photo ops and lies.
In public speeches? There’s more than a little difference between what a president does in his free time and what he does for official business.

I have to agree with Obama on this. His law partner Herndon wrote in his memoirs that Lincoln could tell a dirty joke better than anyone he’d ever met.
I’ve heard this many, many times before. Besides, if it’s a question of intellect between BOR and BHO, they both lose.

I lost all faith in the American electorate, in much the same way I have lost all faith in the legislative branch and judicial branches of our government.

I’ve read ‘Lincoln’s Yarns and Stories: Witty Anecdotes that Made Him America’s Favorite Story Teller’ forward and backward.
Our 16th president loved sly humor, but I don’t recall a single bawdy or ‘racy’ story.
Lincoln was also known as “Honest Abe”; I think ‘Bathhouse Barry’ is lying again.
Somehow I can’t imagine Lincoln doing “The Aristocrats.”
Obama better pray Lincoln’s not minding the pearly gates on the day he seeks admittance.
