BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here's Siobhan in Columbia, Mississippi. Hi, welcome, it's great to have you here. It's Open Line Friday and you're next.

CALLER: Hi. I'm so happy to finally get through to you. I have one major problem, and that's Barack Obama himself. My problem is, as a black woman, I am embarrassed to be a black-American. My grandmother is 94 years old, and I imagine that her and all of our ancestors that died and fought for what we're supposed to call freedom, this is not what they imagined of the first black president. I mean, Congress is not doing their job. They don't want to say anything that criticizes him.

RUSH: Wait. Hang on. Siobhan, hang on, hang on. You're very provocative here, and I need to pick your brain.

CALLER: Ok.

RUSH: 'Cause you've said a number of things about which I have questions. Your first thing, you said that you are embarrassed to be a black woman?

CALLER: Yes! To be black, period.

RUSH: You know, I happened to see the other day, some white, feminist, female professor. She taught feminist studies somewhere, and I wish I had it in front of me. I don't have it here, but she was saying how guilty she felt at being white, that she just wanted to rip her skin off and turn herself inside out.

CALLER: Oh, don't (garbled).

RUSH: She just can't stand living the life of luxury she has, given that it came on the backs of people of a different color. She's so guilty. She's so ashamed.

CALLER: (Unintelligible) That's what they want for people to feel guilty because of the fact that they're white. I mean, being white has nothing to do with. It's a matter of being educated.

Sorry I missed her...she has more sense in her little finger than the whole rat party - especially that nutcase feminist who hates herself.

But in the rats defense - this is just manufactured by them for their financial gain - I don’t think they actually believe their own crap.

YES! *round of applause* Shout it from the roof tops! It’s already been prominently extolled to the public during historic periods of upheaval and yet there are people in politics/media and academia trying to bury the very concept of “not by the color of my skin, but by the content of my character.”

"My white skin disgusts me...used to feel like that but then I sold my slaves and feel much better now.....

A long article but worth reading - the lady's intelligence and common sense are very refreshing....

So, no. I'm not embarrassed by Obama in the least.

And you shouldn't be. I am not embarrassed by scum sucking slime bags like Clinton, Gore, Biden, Dingy Harry and Pelosi either. The same applies. We may have the same skin color, but we are of two different races.

CALLER: Meaning that as a country overall, when you look at where we were and how far we've come, and you get somebody in this position of power that is of African-American descent, you don't expect Obama.

FWIW 0bama is not of African-American descent. Not in the sense that either of his parents were African-American. His mother was an American and his father was a Kenyan African. He hardly knew any African-Americans until he met the America hating Marxist poet Frank Marshall Davis in his teens.

Siobhan pronounced “Shayvon”

Is that the actual phonetic sound of the name Siobhan or is that her interpretation.

How do you actually say the name "Siobhan"?
