Cost of breakfast going up

NEW YORK — Breakfast is now being served with a side of sticker shock.

The price of bacon is surging and the cost of other morning staples, like coffee and orange juice, is set to rise because of global supply problems, from drought in Brazil to disease on U.S. pig farms.

And it's not just the first meal of the day that's being affected. The cost of meats, fish and eggs led the biggest increase in U.S. food prices in nearly 2 ½ years last month, according to government data. An index that tracks those foods rose 1.2 percent in February and has climbed 4 percent over the last 12 months.

While overall inflation remains low, the increases in food prices are forcing shoppers to search out deals and cut back.

Denise Gauthier, 54, a screenwriter in North Hollywood, calls the rising prices "shocking and outrageous." To cope, she has become more frugal, hunting for discounts and buying less food overall.

After years of being hammered by environmental regulation formulated by East and West Coast liberals to hear that they are having to pay more for their food does my heart good.

But the rate inflation calculation under Obama does not reflect this.

Breakfast is one of the most inexpensive meals. We go to Denny’s with six of us and spend less then 80 bucks. Try doing that for Dinner….

But I understand the world now has an oil glut.

Revelation 6:6

And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.”

Used to be able to get a Jumbo Jack for a buck under Bush. Food is already up times four and they tell us there’s no inflation, or use cutesy poo phrases like “sticker shock.”

I’ve come around to a lot of the Morning Star fare for breakfast. Sausage patties, sausages, bacon. It’s all faked up but I got use to it pretty quick and came to like it.

Breakfast today is a Spicy Breakfast Sausage patty on an English muffin and a slice of cheese these days.

Same with their burgers. First one I ever tasted and I thought “huh?” Finished out the package and by the last one I was liking them. Different but okay. Now I have them several times a week and like them.

O’Bambi is the POS Food Stamp president (not capitalized, he is not my President...)

But he is on a tack to take this country, Our United States of America, down the tubes of leftistism that has been the bain of so many countries in the world, including Cuba, Venezuela, etc...Countries he admires.

May he soon meet his Maker...
