Two women were the first gay couple to marry in Michigan on Saturday, one day after the state's ban on gay marriage, approved by voters in a landslide in 2004, was scratched from the state constitution by a federal judge.

Michigan voters, are you going to bow your knees to your federal overlords?

If a black robed thug can define your freedom regarding such basic truths as the 5,000 year old definition of MARRIAGE, it can define EVERYTHING in your life.

What can be done about the judges? Can they be removed?

Ugh. On the bright side, my lesbian cousin won't have to move here to agitate for gay marriage. Bill Schutte has filed for a stay.

Stay filed by AG Bill Schutte

Brokeback Mountain in Michigan. How many families, like that, will be broken? And these in God’s sight.

Defeated by an overwhelming number of voters.

Overturned by one selected judge.

Pretty much nothing. They can be impeached but that is as rare as seeing a Higgs Boson. It happens, but almost never. And this Judge was appointed by Reagan, he isn’t going anywhere.

I’m kinda wondering if county courthouses are open on Saturdays for gay marriage alone or what.

I haven’t had reason to go to the county courthouse for quite a few years but they never used to be open on Saturday here in Jackson county.

So what exactly do you expect them to do? Judges declare statutes unconstitutional all the time? And this isn’t one isolated Judge. This is SCOTUS from the DOMA decision.

Focus people. There is not going to be any uprising of any type. For the most part, America does not agree with us.

What must we do? Educate, educate, educate. If we don’t, you think we’re in a minority now? Then you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Where else but America could implosion look quite like this?

Of course I will say this till I get blue in the face. This didn’t start with homos. They walked into a situation that had been prepared for them.

Note to the Governor, AG and Houses of the Great State of Michigan:

Collect your State taxes and live within your means. Let the Feds come and collect their taxes (Cloward-Piven). “Molon Labe” is not ^just^ for firearms, folks.

I’ve found that if you don’t feed the neighborhood cats, they stop coming by to sh*t in your landscaping!

I would like to point you to a tongue-in-cheek correction of your post:

Your post: “Judges declare statutes unconstitutional all the time?”
My correction: “”Judges declare STATES unconstitutional all the time?”

Wither Amendment 10?

Educate about the Lord.

And that involves living it. If “you” (rhetorical you) are fooling around but it’s hetero — STOP IT ANYHOW. Adultery is adultery.

I've been calling for states to revolt in exactly that manner for years.

The individual states should look at the resources they produce, find like minded trading partners and cut the feds right out of the loop. Keep the pressure on till the feds return the powers to the states.

10th Amendment does say cut out the Feds, per se, but certainly does allow the states to tell Sam, “Molon Labe”.

If I were to get married again, I personally would forgo the marriage license, get married by a minister and call myself married in the eyes of God.

I think we should simply refuse to acknowledge gay marriage and call them “Civil Unions”. If nothing else it will get their panties in a knot.

Great. More people who think they’re ‘married’ because one judge thinks he can overturn the will of Michiganders by himself.

I agree, setting your fecetiousness aside.

Obama is not and cannot be “a Lincoln” who, for all intents and purposes suspended the 10th Amendment. What the USA needs to recognize is that reality says the 10th
^is still suspended as Law of the Land^
since 1865.

As patriots, we need to reclaim it from suspension. With Obamugabe in office, the time is ripe, yes?
