Mike Thomas (GOP-E) Snuffing Out Conservative Votes with the Help of Democrats
The Bull Elephant ^ | March 21, 2014 | Jamie Radtke

It is like something out of a mobster movie. Eric Cantor’s Young Guns and the GOP Establishment are systematically going around to the local GOP county units in Virginia and snuffing out the votes of the conservative grassroots. The Young Guns Godfather puts out the hit and the deed is carried out. It has already happened in Virginia Beach, Richmond City, Charlotte, and now Campbell County.

Last night Mike Thomas, who is the First Vice Chairman for the Republican Party of Virginia, was involved in coordinating the takeover of the Campbell County Republican Committee with the enlisted help of an estimated 100-150 Democrats and Campbell County employees. The facts will disturb you greatly.

This makes my blood boil.

The problem though is ... I don’t see anyone fighting back or anyone leading Conservatism. And, no, that isn’t Ted Cruz. I’m talking Leader and not rabble-rouser.

We better find someone fast.

This is terribly upsetting, but expected. In short, it’s crunch time for Conservatism.

They can control the GOPe process, there is no doubt about that. What they cannot control are conservative hearts and minds.

If they persist in this Amnesty (legalization of some unspecified form as they term it), capitulation on Democrat wet dreams like “fixing Obamacare” instead of killing it dead, and ACTIVELY working against unsanctioned conservatives, they will reap the whirlwind.

There isn’t a frigging GOPe congressman (mine), or GOPe sanctioned candidate for the Georgia Senate (Chambliss’ seat) that I am going to vote for. I’d sooner see the RNC and all the other GOPe organizations and political seats figuratively burn to the ground. As far as I’m concerned, the GOPe, along with the DNC, and the government under Obama are my mortal enemies. And I won’t be a part of any of it.

“What they cannot control are conservative hearts and minds”

There was a lady in my area who got sick of Republican croneyism and started her own ‘central committee’. She was very effective. There were key people in every precinct who got out the vote.

I am heartened by this. But, barring any evidence of it here in Georgia, I’m just flat out against them all now, except for the conservatives being bad-mouth by the GOPe.

This is the same strategy advocated by Conservatives (and by the Paulistas) to take over the republican party at the local level.

This can be easily squashed by participation by the average republican but participation is hard to come by.

And the squashing by the typical republican would be squashing of the Paulistas, the far right wing and the moderate wing.

The GOP is the enemy of liberty as much as the DNC.

Not one dime....

Eric Cantor is a snake to the nth degree.

This jerk should not be anywhere near a leadership position. He acts like a Dim plant.

I have known Mike Thomas since he was a teenager. He is as conservative as one can be, a Reagan Republican and a long time movement conservative. People forget that George Allen and Eric Cantor fought the “republican establishment” to get to the governorship of Virginia, the US senate and the congress. Mike Thomas was an important soldier in those fights. Virginia is a far better place than it would have been without Allen and Cantor in elective office.

There has to be some consideration of the source of this attack on Thomas. Remember the author ran against George Allen for Senate and Thomas was running the Allen campaign.

I have no knowledge of the facts of her allegations, but I will say that Virginia is being run by democrats now, except for the house of delegates. The key to success for Reagan, Allen and others in Virginia has always been to pull away conservative democrat votes. In this day and age, how could there be any conservative democrats left, you ask? Good question, but the new democrat lt. governor almost became a republican state senator just 4 years ago, but it was mishandled by the idiot GOP party chairman and he changed his mind. Growing the party by bringing in anti-abortion, pro mariage fiscal conservative country democrats still happens in Virginia. Is that what Thomas is up to?

At least the RPV is led by Pat Mullins who absolutely is on the side of the TEA Party wing. He is furious about the slating which negates all the hard work they’ve done over the last few years of pulling millenials into the party. It’s a war of attrition at this point — who will stay in and fight for the soul of the party and who gives up and heads elsewhere.
