The silver lining in this is that when it comes, the breakdown will begin - and possibly be largely confined to - the urban and inner suburban areas.

I’ll take no joy in watching the various aggrieved classes have at each other and take out decades of anger and frustration created - deliberately - by Liberals seeking to isolate them and exploit the victim mentality for political gain.

But I will appreciate the irony of it all.

Russia will not stop with Ukraine and NATO will dissolve, officially or unofficially, but the budding Russian empire will find that fighting a new wave of Muslim insurgencies in formerly peaceful republics will consume too much of its time and energy. The soldiers who will march on the scattered pieces of the old red empire will be Muslims and the Eurasian Union will become a Muslim empire with a handful of churches. Like Rome, its fall will come at the hands of its own barbarians

I'm not as keen an analyst as Greenfield, but I see the European Union becoming essentially a union of Muslims and Dhimmi-Socialists. The Russians will have a contrasting empire of states that do not wish to become Dhimmi-socialists. It will be one or the other, Russians and other eastern Europeans are not going to let Islam take over. If Hillary had her druthers she would preemptively bomb Serbia to keep it from joining the Russian side.

We are each day approaching a Social War.

I used to wonder how we would distinguish between friend and foe. During the last Civil War, there was gray and blue. Then it came to me, that during times of social stress the patriots among us wave our flag. The good people among us will wear U.S. flag armbands. The enemy will be divided with any number of markings such as rainbow insignias, Mexican flags, Muslim markings, etc. When the war comes, identify friendlies by their U.S. flag armbands. Even Obama balks at wearing our flag insignia.

How would you know if that person wearing the Armband isn’t an enemy in disguise?

Two problems I have with this article:
1) There has never been a Pax Americana to fall. To be honest, since the fall of the Soviets we've stirred crap up more than we've helped anyone.
2) No one really understands what a global war with Islam entails. A religious war is the worst kind of war; history shows this to us. Do we really want to spend the next 4-5 centuries engaging in total war with Islam? Or is it better to seek alternatives to that conflict?

What we need is USA nationalism. Build the USA with strength in defense and rebuild our economy. That means screw the world... We protect ourselves only or we fade from history.

I agree with this absolutely. At the very least, worry about our own hemisphere only. Bring back the Monroe Doctrine.

It doesn't matter. In times of strife, like-minded folks come together. It is human nature to be distrustful of strangers. If of similar mind, they find a way to trust each other. When TSHTF, we have to help and defend each other, or perish.
