The Hague (AFP) - An unrepentant Geert Wilders fought back Saturday against a storm of protest and an exodus from within his own anti-Muslim party after he vowed "fewer Moroccans" in the Netherlands.

The platinum-haired populist was forced to deny parallels with Nazi leaders after he was widely perceived as having gone too far in his attack on a specific ethnic group on Wednesday.

"I spoke the truth, I'm not sorry and will not apologise for the truth and expressing my political ideals," Wilders told an impromptu press conference on Saturday evening.

Geert Wilders, born 6 September 1963) is a Dutch right-wing politician and the founder and leader of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid – PVV), the fourth-largest political party in the Netherlands.

Wilders is the Parliamentary group leader of his party in the Dutch House of Representatives. In the formation in 2010 of the Rutte cabinet, a minority cabinet of VVD and CDA, he actively participated in the negotiations, resulting in a “support agreement” (gedoogakkoord) between the PVV and these parties, but withdrew his support in April 2012, citing disagreements with the cabinet on proposed budget cuts.

Wilders is best known for his criticism of Islam, summing up his views by saying, “I don’t hate Muslims, I hate Islam”. Wilders’ views regarding Islam have made him a controversial figure in the Netherlands and abroad.

I should also note that Geert Wilders does NOT affiliate himself with others that he considers to be FASCISTS!

“Wilders, who has refused to align himself with European far-right leaders such as Jean-Marie Le Pen and Jörg Haider, views himself as a right-wing liberal and has expressed concern of being “linked with the wrong rightist fascist groups.”

Morocco for the Moroccans

Holland for the Dutch...who have been there 6000 years.

Go Geert.

If the specific ethnic group is famous for bloodletting and beheadings, what’s wrong with kicking them out of your country?

FITNA was the film made by Geert Wilders that created a WORLDWIDE FUROR a few years ago ... And all it did was quote the Koran and show some mainstream media news clips - THAT’S ALL,

Fitna is a 2008 short film by Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders. Approximately 17 minutes in length, the film attempts to demonstrate that the Qur’an motivates its followers to hate all who violate Islamic teachings. The movie shows selected excerpts from Suras of the Qur’an, interspersed with media clips and newspaper cuttings showing or describing acts of violence and/or hatred by Muslims.

The film argues that Islam encourages – among other things – acts of terrorism, antisemitism, violence against women, violence and subjugation of infidels and against homosexuals and Islamic universalism. A large part of the film details the influence of Islam on the Netherlands. The film was published on the Internet in 2008.

Shortly before its release, its announcement was suspended from its website by the American provider because of the perceived controversy. It stirred a still continuing debate in the Netherlands as well as abroad, and a criminal prosecution for hate speech.

We should have a "Geert Wilders" over here who has the same kind of political pull!

Those here who are about as close philosophically to Geert Wilders are Tom Tancredo and Pat Buchanan, both of whom have been marginalized by the leftist lamestream media. And, sad to say, even some Conservatives. John Derbyshire's stance on multiculturalism is also on-target but he's been reduced to irrelevancy by the leftwing attack machine.

Actually Geert Wilders doesn’t advocate kicking them all out of the country — but he certainly does in regards to the criminals. If they commit crimes then they should be deported.

Geert Wilders doesn’t say that they should not live in the Netherlands, but he does say that they have to “assimilate” - learn the language, get jobs, not be on the dole and be law-abiding. If they do that Geert Wilders has no problem with them being in the country.

Pat Buchanan is a closet ANTI-SEMITE and I wouldn’t invite him into my city much less my neighborhood or home!

And Tom is NOTHING like Geert Wilders in regards to Wilders very strong actions against ISLAM and Wilders very strong support for Jews and Israel!

Let’s be sure to give Wilders viewpoint carefully here. I don’t want people misunderstanding his position.

He has stated on MANY INTERVIEWS that he has nothing against Muslims in general and he doesn’t want to kick all Muslims out. He states very clearly that the MAJORITY of Muslims in the West are peaceful and law-abiding and he is not a Muslim hater. He is super clear on this point.

He says he is against the extremists who use Islam for their extremist goals and murder and mayhem and terror. He likens the Koran to Mein Kampf.

So ... please do understand that about Geert Wilders ... :-) ...

“linked with the wrong rightist fascist groups.”>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Fascists are actually liberals gone Utopian.......Nationsl Socialists.

The left has founded and perpetrated the myth that rightists or conservatives are the origin of fascism. Nothing could be further from the truth as this article shows:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/05/barack_obama_the_quintessentia_1.html

Wilder is a nationalist Dutch politician who wants Holland for the Dutch, but he is not a socialist, and therefore NOT a nationalist socialist/fascist.

The main point here that people have to get here is that he is totally against Jean-Marie Le Pen and Jörg Haider who are popular in France and Austria (respectively) and they supposedly fight against Islam.

And if you remember Tommy Robinson of the English Defense League (in the UK) - Wilders wanted nothing to do with them either - even though they constantly protested against Islam there.

I - personally - would not support those people either, or their groups - but would FULLY SUPPORT Geert Wilders!

Haider hasn't been fighting anything lately. He's joined the choir invisible.

The Jews seem to exert the same anti-semite rhetoric that the blacks, hispanics, muslims, chinese, do whenever anyone writes or says anything negative about them. Whether it is actual fact or merely an observation and/or inferences of coincidence.

If one cannot discuss jews collectively any more than one cannot discuss blacks, hispanics, or homosexuals without being addressed as a racist, anti-semite, islamophobe, homophobe, etc. then we have lost the ability to speak freely and think clearly.

You don’t have to agree with their assessments, if they are an assessment not a suggestion to kill a specific ethnicity for being ethnic.

The left/communists certainly have no compunction about suggesting that anyone who disagrees with them should be killed for just thinking differently than them.

I don’t always agree with everything I read from Daniel Greenfield either but he is still a vary smart guy, and a gifted writer. I adamantly disagree with almost everything that Thomas Friedman or Paul Krugman writes or thinks...does that make me an anti-semite?

Buchanan is a smart guy, he offers his insights and views for your consideration, not your approval. Take what he writes for what it’s worth. He may very well be wrong on a particular topic but to ostracize him because you disagree with him on a particular subject should not make him a pariah...just wrong. Do we not have the liberty to be wrong about a particular subject?
