I have always been so proud of the U.S. But, we are not standing by our agreement. Yes, Putin has violated THE BUDAPEST REFERENDUM. In 1994, Ukraine agreed to give up its Soviet-era nuclear arsenal in return for guarantees — signed by the UNITED STATES, the United Kingdom and Russia — for its territorial integrity and independence.
Hence my contention that nobody will advance nuclear proliferation more in the next hundred years than the Obama just did. Ukraine had the third largest nuclear weapons stockpile, given up in guarantees of security by both USA and Russia. Now invaded by one, the other walks away. Japan, Saudi Arabia, etc will all now go all-in acquiring nuclear arms.
