So the ship sunk? Or it went aground? The crew was lost and their families need adoption? Or are they still fighting on?

Little help here? Anyone?

Sounds like they attempted to pass between the ships that Russia scuttled when they were hit on the side by either a Russian ship or one of the scuttled ships causing them to ground out.

Russia is really trying hard to get a Ukrainian ship to fire upon them so they can use it as a reason to attack Ukraine.

Nah...The only time came close to winning is before the battle started. Kind of like the UMass Tennessee game yesterday.

In relations among nations, there really is no law, although one can be grateful for such conventions as the ban on poison gas and such.

A country that does not invest in self-defense really has no just cause to complain when it is overrun. A people who do not will the expense and responsibility of self-defense do not really will independence or liberty.

Poland in 1939, along with France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, etc., did not really will their independence and national identity. Neither did England. The same is true of Ukraine and many other countries today.

The Swiss don’t go whining to others about their independence and freedom. Neither should any other people. If they can’t be bothered to defend themselves, they invite enslavement, and should accept it with a quiet dignity.

That’s the first time I’ve seen the “Konstantin Olshansky “ mentioned. Where is it? It wasn’t one of the ships blockaded.

Semper911,
I have always been so proud of the U.S. But, we are not standing by our agreement. Yes, Putin has violated THE BUDAPEST REFERENDUM. In 1994, Ukraine agreed to give up its Soviet-era nuclear arsenal in return for guarantees — signed by the UNITED STATES, the United Kingdom and Russia — for its territorial integrity and independence. ***Please see videos below.. good information in English.

I now have friends of Ukraine clergy on Facebook.
It is hard for me to translate correctly using google. My best understanding [?] is one ship is scuttled the other is OK & they fight on. But, I do know earlier the Russians took an old ship & sank it to not allow Ukraine ships out of harbor... so... I also know the families of Military & Navy based in Crimea are endanger. They are been sent (adopted) to Kiev for safety & receiving housing, food jobs.

Putin had said 2 weeks ago that the Russians would hide behind women & children... I thought something had been translate wrong. But,that is what is happening.

For instance:
Members of the Southern Naval Base Naval Forces of Ukraine Novoozerne village in the west of the Crimea as a whole refused to move on to serve in the armed forces of Russia and left the military facility .

Told the head of the Crimean media center Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev on his page on the social network.

This morning, representatives of the Russian Black Sea Fleet nominated personnel of a military unit ultimatum - 12.00 to decide: Do you want to go to war to serve in the Armed Forces or not.

“At 12:00 , it was announced on the overall alignment of the parade ground. Everyone who did not want to continue to serve in the Armed Forces were asked to leave the parts , the rest had to stay on the parade ground. During the alignment on the parade ground of the military unit sounded Ukraine National Anthem , and then march “Farewell of Slav” The sounds of the march of the military personnel as a whole territory left “- written by Seleznev .

GOOGLE TRANSLATE: But later mom of soldier’s wife wrote on her status:
“You know, like today took Russian base? Without firing a shot, although the main headquarters - a patriots of Ukraine to the bone, and was born and raised in the Crimea ... They were ready to die defending this country’s flag. RUSSIAS SURROUNDED THE SCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN And the [Russian] military unit said - not lay down your arms - we enter to children ... Natasha [wife] writhing in hysterics, she never NEVER nobody wished evil. Today she does wish .. through what she experienced. And the fathers of these children ... who are faithful to the oath ... but who above all value their children’s lives ... I now have her tears rolling down her cheeks ... She hates Russian. Anyone with such joy rubbing his palms tends to select the Crimea ... And the Putin silently put machines on the ground ... A Russian TV to tell that without a drop of blood ... “

I also understand military was later captured at train station to be TORTURED (electric shock, beaten, shot) for any “secrets.” EIGHT WERE RELEASED one man had 2 bullets removed from his legs. I can’t find article right now.

Hence my contention that nobody will advance nuclear proliferation more in the next hundred years than the Obama just did. Ukraine had the third largest nuclear weapons stockpile, given up in guarantees of security by both USA and Russia. Now invaded by one, the other walks away. Japan, Saudi Arabia, etc will all now go all-in acquiring nuclear arms.

This is a cool story—It should be used more—Maybe a US ship should break the blockade —or some other nation—so the boat can leave the harbor.
