I read that several years ago Iran sent people to obtain Ebola samples during an outbreak. The fear was that they were trying to weaponize it. The thing that has saved the west from a serious outbreak is that the people who get it die too quickly to get to someplace with rapid transport. But eventually somebody will get on board a 747 and infect everybody on board. They’ll get off in Hamburg or Moscow and catch new flights to all points on Earth. Within hours the disease could spread across the entire world.
It seems impossible because it has been generations since the last pandemic. But “Spanish” flu killed twenty million in the first four months. It took world war one four years to kill that many.
That scenario sounds like one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
It’s really hard to get all concerned and sentimental over a continent that is synonymous with internicine warfare, slavery, child abuse, and crime.
Liberals don’t believe in God or the Bible and think that somehow “protects” them.

“That scenario sounds like one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.”
The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse broke up a few years back. Petulance was so broken up over the introduction of antibiotics he retired and now runs a brothel in Haiti. The remaining three held auditions. Now the Four Horseman are War, Famine, Death and Bob.
The group hasn’t done anything of note since. Mostly they do lounge acts in Vegas.
“Petulance” Pestilence...excuse me. I didn’t mean to imply one of the Four Horseman was a teenager.
That looks like the WWF brain trust learning to count five.
We could do without pictures of a man who murdered his wife and strangled his seven year old son. (Chris Benoit, lower right).
Ping...(Thanks, Oldeconomybuyer!)
Petulance was funnier.
Or any one of a few Clancy novels (Rainbow Six comes to mind since I recently re-read that).
I’ll agree with that...didn’t recognize him.
I assume we’ve stopped all air flight in and out of the city, right?
Probably not, but it sounds like a really good idea to me.
“The Stand”
If that disease got into New York City we’d have hell to pay... it’s time to stop flying there... period.
