Here is the deal. Michelle may not have spent a dime at the hotel.
That is just not how business is done with politicians. Basically, you give them something for “free” and you get something even more valuable in return.
Let’s say that China wants Canadian Oil and wants Keystone Pipeline stopped. (Stopping Keystone means Canadian oil goes to China and not the USA). Michelle and friends and family get whatever they want including free trips and vacations and including inside info on various investments and even rigged investments or access to IPO’s that are sure to go up and sex toys regardless if they are inanimate or human or gifts of priceless antique Chinese vases.
Then guess what ? Keystone is stopped or fill in the blank with the presidential action of your choice is stopped or initiated.
I wouldn’t really care if someone stood up at the beginning of four years and said the whole travel budget for the President and family was “X”, to include the helpers, the secret service, etc. So for four years....you have a budget and you kinda have to stay within that. This whole footprint ensemble crew is a joke now. You’ve got secret service standing on the ground...mostly waiting for any problems to occur but otherwise, they simply stand back at the base and pretend to work.
When you get around to paying $8000 a night for some hotel room....there’s something wrong. I basically paid my entire income tax bill for 2012...for her one night at the hotel.

cant see anything but communist collaboration on the part
of this being any state business. Either way you put it,
this is not just a vacation. This is most likely something
very dubious like a serious transfer of technology.
When the President and his ball and chains ideology have
more in common with China and Russia than the the U.S.,
then the odds are something is afoul. Especially when they
sent their useful idiots in the media packing. There is
absolutely no reason in the universe to trust these people
