It is truly a Hollywood epic of biblical proportions, the original disaster story of the man chosen by God to undertake the greatest rescue in history before an apocalyptic flood engulfs the world.

But even before it opens in America this week and Britain on April 4, Noah, a $130 million blockbuster with Russell Crowe in the lead role, is already awash in a turbulent sea of controversy.

The film, packed with special effects based around a massive replica arc built in Long Island near New York, also stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah and Emma Watson, the Harry Potter actress, as Noah's adopted daughter.

Noah's director Darren Aronofsky, a self-described atheist who made the Oscar-nominated hit The Black Swan, has described the movie as is "the least biblical biblical film ever made" and called Noah "the first environmentalist". According to one early review, the name "God" is not actually spoken at any stage.

The hated Glenn Beck was given a private screening then came on his show & absolutely ripped it to shreds.

I heard him on the radio this morning and that was THE funniest movie review I have ever heard. I had tears coming down my face I was laughing so hard.

Glenn Beck Saw ‘Noah’ Over the Weekend, and He’s Calling It the ‘Babylonian Chainsaw Massacre’

Cordially,

He’s as old as Methuselah.

That's a very good point.

There were very evil people in the time of Noah.

But I bet our modern-day evil people are much worse.

But God said that He was sorry, and sent a rainbow as a sign, promising to never destroy man again.

By a flood. Fire is still on the table.

That has always made me wonder...considering the evil loose in today's world, what did man do in the days of Genesis to merit the flood? It's hard to imagine them being worse than the current crop of humanity.

They weren't exactly humanity anymore because of the "fallen angels" that seduced the women. Yes, it's in the bible.

Re" Noah epic awash in flood of controversy for green agenda and taking liberties with Bible

When the rising polluted waters caused by the Evil Republicans reach my lower lip, starts to put out my cigar and water down my whiskey... I'll consider watching it if they stream it on Netflix when I cannot find anything else to view--

Crap, if we lost Bendy, this does not bode well... for a big box office unless we can splice in cameos with Barack and Michelle plugging the Green issues when all that water spouts up from the ground!

NFL Network is replaying the 1981 NFC Championship Game right now...how did that game end again? :)

JOE MONTANA - THE GREATEST QB OF ALL TIME!!! GIGITTY!!!

On a separate note, I caught a blurb that ESPN (or someone at ESPN) said Manziel is going to be a bust. I highly doubt that. OTOH, if he does drop, maybe that could allow DAL to draft him. That would be a BIG DAL win.

Yeah...the creator is not good enough? Oh boy...I think many writers and sadly Christians, have a need to pick this movie apart when at least we have Hollywood doing some real good here.

More likely the Texans choose him #1 than he ends up with the Boys. I’d take Manziel over Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles. I’m looking at CBS experts mock draft and they all have the Texans picking Bortles, talk about a flavor of the month.

It’s hard to imagine Manziel will be any lower than the third QB taken. It seem almost certain those 3 QBs will be off the board before Dallas gets it’s turn.

I think Jer-bear is happy with Romo anyway (it’s hardly certain whether Manziel will be better than Romo).

They certainly have other positions they need upgraded more than QB, like on their “defense”. I like the Boys like the Bears will be focused on fixing their “defenses”.

As for this movie, barf.

If they are gonna “re-imagine” Noah as a warrior against “climate change” they may as well go whole hog and have him put a couple queers and their surrogate and her in-vitro doctor on the ark with the other critters.

That is nit picking a bit far and not needed. The crazy Noah is less credible.

As the original yarn is ancient Sumerian—borrowed by the Jews, Using The Creator is OK—that way it doesn’t offend any ancient mesopotamians and arabs.

I’d have expected the “yarn” to get remembered by more than Jews if it really happened.

‘Noah joins up with some Muppets ‘

Oh yeah, this movie chronicles the story of evolution.
These Muppets evolved from early sock puppets.
