Mitch McConnell and NRSC to Host D.C. Fundraiser for ObamaCare Sympathizer Thom Tillis

WASHINGTON, March 24 -- FreedomWorks issued the following news release:

Tonight, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) headquarters is hosting a fundraiser for North Carolina moderate and Senatorial candidate Thom Tillis. Headlining the fundraiser invite was a "who's who" of beltway establishmentarians, including Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Lamar Alexander, and Senator Richard Burr. Attendees must pay a minimum of $1,000 per PAC or $500 per person to rub elbows with the D.C. elite.

According to the Washington Post, (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2014/03/21/nrsc-chairman-obamacare-has-helped-dramatically-expand-senate-map/) NRSC Chairman Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) explained today that playing in races like this one are a priority because the "map and opportunities have expanded dramatically in a year, in part because of the consequences of the Affordable Care Act."

This is an ironic statement, given that Thom Tillis effectively endorsed ObamaCare as a "great idea that can't be paid for." (http://www.freedomworks.org/content/thom-tillis-calls-obamacare-unaffordable-%E2%80%9Cgreat-idea%E2%80%9D)

"A lot can be learned about a man by looking at the company he keeps," commented Matt Kibbe, President of FreedomWorks for America. "While fiscal conservative Greg Brannon is meeting with grassroots activists from across the state of North Carolina, Thom Tillis will be in Washington D.C., rubbing elbows with the establishment Republicans who failed to take a stand in the battle to defeat ObamaCare."

"North Carolinians have to decide, do you want a Senator like Greg Brannon who will fight alongside conservatives like Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul on the Senate floor to defeat ObamaCare? Or do you want a Senator who schmoozes alongside progressive Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Lamar Alexander at swanky cocktail parties?"

Amen!

Keep hammering away at Mitch!

It is past time for conservatives to start referring to such people, not as “moderates”, but what they are: “liberals”.

Granted, conservatives correctly see the word “liberal” as a crude invective, but it also should be seen as an accurate label for those who embrace what radical leftist Democrats embrace, if not in *precisely* in the same way they embrace it.

That is, Democrats *demand* socialized medicine, and want to force it on Americans. Republican liberals are willing to *accept* this, because they kind of like the idea of a national health care system, and see it as inevitable, and can’t find it within themselves to oppose it. Or if they do, just for political, not philosophical reasons.

They are liberals. Republican liberals. And it is proper to address them as such.

They embrace things like internationalism, the military-corporate-intelligence-police complex of authoritarianism, massive welfare programs, an ever growing, bloated and deeply indebted national government, etc.

They are liberals. Let us call them that.

The last poll I saw had Tillis at 27%. He needs 40% to avoid a runoff. I don’t see that happening before May 6th. They tried to destroy Brannon but he’s still matching Tillis.

If there’s a runoff between Tillis and Brannon, Brannon will be the nominee, and with Hagan’s latest polling, the next senator from North Carolina.

If “moderates” such as Tillis win, amnesty will be passed next January….just in time for the 12-20 million new Mexican voters to go to the polls and kill the GOP in 2016. The Republican Party can’t be THIS stupid…but we’ve said that before.

Dump McConnell.

Has Mitch McConnell invited members of the Duke basketball team to the event?
